"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Opinions are not proof of anything. Anyone who wishes to study the Bible accurately should do so with a Jehovah's Witness. No one else is going to be able to teach you how to understand the Bible correctly. It is not a matter of opinion: you should see for yourself and leave opinions aside.

Jesus is Jehovah the YHWH of the Old Testament

Jesus prayed to the Father: John 17:1 Jesus spoke these things, and raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son so that your son may glorify you, 2 just as you have given him authority over all flesh, so that he may give everlasting life to all those whom...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

A clear example is when you tell someone that Jesus is not God according to the Bible. An easy way to prove it (although there are hundreds of biblical ways to prove it) is with the verse that says no one has ever seen God. If they saw Jesus then he cannot be that GOD that no one has seen. John...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Same as Christians in the first century and Israelites before them. Deut. 6:4 Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah. 5 You must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your strength. 6 These words that I am commanding you today must be on your heart, 7 and...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

The reality of the matter is this: in the real people of the true God it can't be allow each person to interpret the Bible on their own. It is evident that this would not result in a united people, but in a breeding ground for sects and divisions like modern Christendom. Jesus said something...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Jehovah's Witnesses are a copy of the Christian congregation of the first century. We do not invent doctrines, we learn them from Jesus and the anointed ones of the first century. We justify them with the Scriptures and thus we adapt to them and let the holy spirit that inspired them influence...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

I am not interested on opinions, believe me. ;) If you want to study a biblical topic with me, just let me know. I'll do this: Matt. 28:20 ... teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you ... :)

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

That you criticize a group of more than 8 million people in more than 230 countries as "brainwashed people" tells me how unobjective and unrealistic you can be. Actually, what makes you criticize people instead of analyzing a specific biblical issue with them to see if they are right or wrong...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

There is no brainwashing when the person is able to rationally explain their beliefs. The "brainwashing" thing has lately become a very childish excuse for not allowing another person to help you reason logically. It's as if whoever used the accusation was brainwashed. :hmhehm

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

None taken ... but that is prejudice, evidently. If you are prejudiced against the only ones who will be able to reason with you based on deep knowledge of the Scriptures, what do you have left? Are you defending your "no one has the truth" stance without listening to what we have to tell you? ;)

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

There can't be "consensus" to determine what is the truth. The truth is not a conclussion derived to in a human convention, like voting for the president. You already know I am a JW. We do not meet to determine the truth; We receive it from a group of experienced brothers who have shown for...

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

Now you are talking :Bestest: If an organization, group, community, or even individual, claims to be led by Jesus and guided by holy spirit, etc... then that individual or group should first demonstrate that their doctrine is truly biblical. This is not achieved by taking a text from the Bible...

I'm starting to move away from "pretend Christianity"

There you are ... describing yourself all the time. :stageright:

Evidently you have nothing to say about that. :hmhehm

"Christians don't know what they believe." - until they are brainwashed

I can't lie about it, and to be honest I can only tell you that you are looking in the wrong places, and that is why you are so disappointed in the religious world today. If you had a better alternative than studying the Bible with a Jehovah's Witness, wouldn't that be something that was clear...

I'm starting to move away from "pretend Christianity"

Real Christianity is only in the real organization that Jesus leads. Matt. 24:45 “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? All the pretexts and justifications of modern false "Christianity" are...

I'm starting to move away from "pretend Christianity"

That is your personal understanding and opinion, but it is not biblical. If you consider the kingdom of Christ as an internal state of mind that only applies to the individual, with your doctrine about what the kingdom is, you deny that the kingdom of Christ will bring benefits to the entire...

I'm starting to move away from "pretend Christianity"

There is a REAL Christendom in this world. It is the false religious global representation of the real organization that Jesus leads. It is composed by many different sects and even individuals, who got a false idea in their mind that it has anything to do with the Church the Scriptures talk...

When I drink it NEW in the kingdom of God

In heaven death has never existed, so that "banquet" described by Isaiah does not happen in heaven, and has nothing to do with "the marriage of the Lamb." Scripture contains a kingdom promise that is fulfilled on this planet, where harmful conditions exist that are said to be eliminated...not...

Matthew 24:15 What is the abomination of desolation?

That is your personal interpretation ... but it doesn't agree with Jesus' words here: Luke 21:20 However, when you see Jerusalem surrounded by encamped armies, then know that the desolating of her has drawn near. Actually, when Daniel wrote the prophecy in his book, the temple in Jerusalem had...
