What Will The TRIBULATION Look Like?

One doesn't choose Christ or the Bible as if they were opposed to eachother. Christ is the word. The very verse you posted above means also that you don't have Christ in you if his word doesn't abide in you.

Afraid of Losing My Faith In God :(

Know this dear sister: Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has...

If this is all christianty has

Scripture refers to people like him as having the same spirit of antichrist. Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22 NIV

If this is all christianty has

You deny that the son is 100% God and was there in the beginning with the father. Denying his deity is antichrist.

If this is all christianty has

I'm not going to debate hypotheticals with you, I see you are stating you are not of the faith and I am making note of it. He who denies the son is an antichrist. Period.

If this is all christianty has

He who denies the son, denies the father and is of the spirit of antichrist.

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

All sounds good. I believe you're legit. Pardon my intense vetting process.

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

However, I disagree with something here, in Christ we have authority to command evil spirits, but not to command healing. We pray for healing and God decides.

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

Thank You for your testimony. I do believe it. Why wouldn't I, it looks legit. A very small fraction of my story, is a couple in leadership at a church I served at, told me "they" were going to "baptize me in the holy spirit." They said they were trained on how to baptize in the holy spirit and...

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

And let's be fair, who would be more obsessed with power? Someone who calls it out for what it is, or someone who makes a whole thread about power. You are purposefully looking the other way. Be honest.

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

Ok. Let's dig a little deeper. But first I'll answer your questions: yes I've been baptized with the Spirit of Christ and yes I recieved power. Now will you answer a question of mine? What is the process of being baptized in the spirit in detail according to the way you practice it?

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

You need to go back and read what he posted. He implied that God will choose people who can withstand the temptation of operating in the power of the spirit, but the spirit doesn't tempt. You're wrong again.

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

Indeed, but what's not scriptural is what some charasmatics practice which they call baptism of the holy spirit.

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

I wasn't saying that it would. He was.

How does one "receive" Jesus and His subsequent power?

It's both, but I know what you're getting at with this so I'll beat you to it. The "baptism of the holy spirit" as you call it is a false experience.

Gideon, you have smooth words, but it appears you dodge the main issues.
