What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

My body is me. If my body die, I died, since my brain will be not functioning any more. I'll stop thinking and feeling. I won't be alive until the day God will resurrect me to come back to live again. I'll be like sleeping without dreaming, waiting, resting. Have you never read in the...

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

Sorry I didn't answered this before (it is about your last post too) ... Let's say there are three parts of Jesus ... Some people think they are three individual Jesuses: 1) you said before that he physically died (post #9) and I guess you meant his body. SO: one Jesus died; I can not say it...

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

Yeah, good point: what did Peter really say, and why some people try to give a different interpretation to his words?

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

Did the disciples of Jesus think he was alive in, let's say, another realm? I don't think so. When he was killed, they practically think IT'S OVER. They didn't even remember what he said about coming back to life at the third day. They didn't think anything about Jesus being somewhere else...

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

@marks , Ok, that is what happened ... The disciples did not think he was somewhere alive. Jesus said to John he was not alive, but he came back to life, or in other words he came to live again. Do you understand: in the case of Jesus this is about alive vs dead. It is not half-alive vs...

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

This topic is about Jesus being dead. I already cited what he said: I WAS DEAD, he said. I'm still waiting for you to tell me what you think he meant by that.

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

How many "living parts" of the dead Jesus (Rev. 1:18; 2:8) do you think there were after he was killed, and where do you think each of them was? I have heard many stories about it, all of them based on some weird interpretations of a couple of verses ... and I am very interested in counting how...

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

He did not say: "One part of me was dead". He said: "I was dead". What do you think he meant?

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

Well, first thing: when Jesus said these things: Rev. 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore (...) 2:8 (...) These things saith (...) which was dead, and is alive. What did he mean when saying he WAS DEAD? The resurrected Jesus, now in heaven, is talking...

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

What Jesus said DOES NOT depend on what people believes about the death. Did the disciples of Jesus believe the same Jesus said about being dead those three days? ... that he was just not alive somewhere else?

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

What the disciples of Jesus believed while he was dead?

    1Peter 3:18

What did the disciples believe while Jesus was dead?

What do you think it happens when Jesus died?

That is the question: what do you think it happens when Jesus died? Let's talk about it ... Please use the Scriptures in a smart manner, and use the logic in your argument, so we understand clearly what you believe and how you try and prove it with the Bible. I think that when Jesus died...

    1Peter 3:18

In the imagination of some, Jesus was somewhere dealing with the suffering of not having a body of flesh, and his disciples believed that... so according to that fantasy, the disciples were suffering that Jesus did not have a body because of that so he couldn't talk to them. At the third day he...

    1Peter 3:18

The disciples needed to know Jesus was back to life; not that he got the same body of flesh. They did understand that. 1 Tom. 6:13 I charge thee in the sight of God, who giveth life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed the good confession; 14 that thou keep...

    1Peter 3:18

I guess you can't get rid of your accusations and straw dolls ... Can you answer what I just asked in the last post, or that's all? ... I do not want to loose time reading nonsenses and diversions of the thread. It feels like I am answering to a bot ... Mmmmh; NO, good bye guy.

    1Peter 3:18

Of course I did. And there is anything there I should see in particular? It didn't change what Jesus said at all. Read this: (KJV) Rev. 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen (...) What do you think Jesus meant when he said "I was dead"? Here with...

    1Peter 3:18

So? Don't you believe that to rise from the dead is to make live someone who is dead, like Jesus said in John 11:25? o_O

    1Peter 3:18

Of course, he got flesh and bones at that moment ... but not always; only when he was manifest, remember? Acts 10:40,41 :) Judges 13 has a very interesting account about an angel in human body. I hope you don't believe angels have bodies of flesh.

    1Peter 3:18

Mmmh. I disagree. He was not always visible to them, so they did not conclude what you are saying. It is just an elaboration of your imagination, but not the real events. I think they knew exactly what was happening, since they knew about what angels did in the past and no one thought angels...
