Just think of it as a chain of command. You can't have the holy spirit without the word, and you can't have the word without the Father, who sent both the word and the holy spirit. Its not hard for me to understand, I really don't understand why its so hard for others.

He didn't leave himself out actually. In the very same chapter you cited, he refers to himself as being one with the Father as he did several times before. And I have no idea why you bring up 1 John 5:7 because that's not what I referenced.
