    Christian Fiction, Sci fi,make believe...

So if God speaks to me internally in a way that is taylored for my mindset, that's not a miracle? If God arranges things in such a way that it seems miraculous to me, that's not a miracle? It's still supernatural. When God heals in a way that puzzles the doctor, that's not a miracle? When God...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Which makes you a heretic. This debate was laid to rest in the fourth century. One has to wonder how anyone could stumble into arianism with all the Bible helps we have today. Others have already laid out the pertinent scriptures regarding this topic, on the thread. It's pointless to go back...

I did not claim everything is a miracle. Although I believe in Calvinist theology either everything is a miracle or nothing is. If God answers prayers with supernatural intervention, how is that less than miraculous?

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Because he was also fully human. And a human grows in wisdom and greatness as he matures. Jesus did not " cheat" and use his divinity in order to avoid falling into sin. He was sinless as a human.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Well, since you are calling the Bible's teachings absurd and ridiculous, that's on you. There's been plenty of clear posts here about what the Bible actually teaches about the Trinity, but you refuse to see the truth. I am not confused about the Godhead, BTW. You can go on denying and feeling...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

And then, there's always this guy, who just goes off on a rant and we are all left to wonder what in the world all this has to do with the topic at hand, or what he actually said... and if perhaps he should back away from the youtube conspiracy theory channel for just one day.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Yes, and I suppose you claim to fully understand those too. The verse references time. It's not speaking in the abstract.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Because I don't have a problem with the God of the Bible. Frivolity? What is frivolous about the mystery of the Glorious and incomprehensible Trinity?

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Lol, if you have a God you can fully understand, you don't have the God of the Bible, that's for sure. I accept what the Bible teaches about the Trinity and I'm not bothered at all that I cannot fully comprehend how three can be eternally one. If a person starts trying to grasp the incarnation...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Why do you have a problem with a pre incarnate Christ? Seems like you are just kicking against the goads.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

That's not what it says. It says the Father loved him before creation. How could the Father love him if he didn't yet exist?
  12. R

How could the Messiah be sinless?

So, can you just tell me clearly if you believe Jesus always existed, or are you trying to say that God was once less than three persons? Because that's how it sounds. "So now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had in your presence before the world existed. Father, I...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Yes, he was 1/3 of the Trinity, but at the same time, no, because each part is fully God. No, we can't comprehend it, but he was also never a 2nd God, he was always fully God and so were the Spirit and the Father, even while he was on the cross.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Only that's not what the scripture says. The Word was there in the beginning. He didn't come into being. He was always the third person of the trinity and always the Son of God and always one with the Father. That's basic Christain orthodoxy and I think you are into heretic territory.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Of course, that's what the incarnation was. God taking on flesh.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

My point is that he had no beginning, but always existed as part of the Trinity.
  17. R

How could the Messiah be sinless?

This is just wrong. Jesus was there in the beginning and created the world. He is the Word who spoke words that became matter. We can't be saved by a temporal being with limits. Jesus is the perfect image of the Father because they are One.

    Christian Fiction, Sci fi,make believe...

I fail to see how any supernatural event can be anything but a miracle. In fact, I believe many events that may not look supernatural from our angle are miracles. Certainly, salvation is always a miracle.

    Christian Fiction, Sci fi,make believe...

Being healed is a miracle regardless. God arranging amazing "coincidences" are miracles. God speaking to us in our language is a miracle. Why would we pray at all if we didn't believe in miracles?

    Christian Fiction, Sci fi,make believe...

I have a friend who watches all those prosperity guys. She's a genuine believer, as genuine as any you would ever want to meet, and a real prayer warrior, but she has a gullible side too. But on the other hand, I love her childlike faith, even though she's lived through stuff that would make...
