ATP, did you not hear what the Moderator said about continuing OSAS in another thread? Rules are necessary to maintain order, be they Christianity Board rules of what God wrote with His finger in stone. Sadly, it is the unavoidable outcome of OSAS: to disregard any and all rules in the name of...

    Sabbath-Keeping

Amen, TB! OSAS is a form of apostasy which allows those in the church who have decided not to endure to the end to feel themselves secure in their lost condition. I fear that the longer they remain in this belief, the less audible the Lord's voice which calls them out of it will become. :(

    Sabbath-Keeping

Wrong, ATP, the premise of my belief about Matthew 24:12 KJV is a plain understanding of good ol' KJV English which says that there are only two kinds of people in the world: the branch that yet abides in the Vine or the branch that is withering on the ground destined for the fire. There is no...

    Sabbath-Keeping

ATP, the "he" of Matthew 24:12 KJV points to either one of the two following subjects: "The converted person that endures unto the end shall be saved." "The unconverted person that endures unto the end shall be saved." While it is evident to the entire theological world that the number 1 is...

ATP, Jesus said, "he (the Christian) that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved." Jeff has chosen not to endure to the end and if he continues on this course he will be lost. I think this verse alone is enough to disprove OSAS.

Don't deny what you've said all along: that dead faith can obtain eternal life when the Bible is clear that only living faith can do that.

    Sabbath-Keeping

No, you depend on the Cross to cover your dead faith, which the Bible calls "presumption". Because, ATP, OT believers looked forward in faith to the Messiah Who was to come while we look backward in faith to the Messiah that came. Both OT and NT believers evidence their Living faith by works.

The only love OSAS believers are capable of is the love of selfish sinful indulgence, else they would turn from their slavish servitude to such sinful perversion and take hold of the freedom in Christ with which He so desperately wants to save them. "Love is the fulfilling of the law", not...

    Sabbath-Keeping

Dispensationalism is a lie of the Jesuits and John Nelson Darby, ATP. People in the OT were saved the exact same way people in the NT are saved: by grace, period. No one was ever saved by their works and no one will ever make it to heaven with the dead faith of faith without works, especially...

"The man wasn't justified." How in the world can you make such an astounding claim? Jeff told me in utmost sincerity that he reached out to God and God has promised that He would in no way turn anyone aside who does that, and yet you claim he wasn't justified? Friend, that is arrogance to the...

It is very possible for one to turn from God and become an atheist. I knew of one such man a few years ago. He told me how much he loved God and prayed prayers of faith and attended church regularly, and I think he even said he spoke in tongues, but the more he learned about evolution, the more...

If you let Jesus in your heart and allow Him to "keep His commandments and do those things which are pleasing in His sight" through you and for you, seeing you cannot do them yourself, then you can fully expect to receive from Him eternal life.

"If any man sin against Me, his name will I blot out of the book of life." - Jesus to Moses.

Once Saved, Always Saved. If I sincerely recite the sinner's prayer but later on decide to depart from obedience to Jesus, I can still go to heaven. I am free to rape as many people as often as I like and still go to heaven. I am free to kill as many people as often as I like and still go to...

    Sabbath-Keeping

The acceptance of the free gift of salvation can never be accomplished by the dead faith of OSAS because it relegates obedience to the wastebasket as a non-essential component of salvation. True faith which is living faith that is evidenced by obedience through the power of the indwelling Jesus...

The false idea of OSAS immediately dies a painful death with the mention of one word: "abide". Jesus said we are saved only if we continue to abide with Him. The Greek word "Meno" means "to not depart". Do you understand, all you who are deceived by OSAS? It means "to not depart". Therefore...

It says that they "escaped pollutions" and that they are like a "washed sow". The symbolism of a sow washed with water is the reality of a man washed in the blood, bro. How much plainer does God have to be before you admit that these people were "cleansed"?

The devils once believed they had eternal life, and now they are lost, so what's your point? Are you saying that humans can't be lost after they believe they have eternal life? You make God a most unfair, unjust Judge by imposing different consequences for the common rebellion of demons and humans.

The Unmerciful Servant was forgiven of his debt, but through disobedience the debt was once again placed upon him, and I thank God for this parable which destroys the false idea of OSAS which is used to excuse Sabbath breaking.

ATP, you don't seem to understand that a person is either actively walking with God or is walking with Satan. Their is no "spiritual Switzerland". Until a lost person makes the decision to turn around and walk toward Christ they are lost, even while in the valley of decision. Therefore...
