    Domestic Violence

Yes, but in some cases, both may be a factor ...an unbelieving husband who is abusive.

    Domestic Violence

I see what you're saying... so.... if she leaves, that scripture is saying she is then "unmarried." Yet, she still has a husband she may be reconciled to...so she is still married. Kinda confusing.

What's the weather like where you are?

    Sunny, low 80's :)
  4. TLHKAJ

    Domestic Violence

Thank you. I can agree with this. And yet, she still may not remarry. Would you agree?

    Domestic Violence

Thank you. The only answers worth considering will have scriptural basis.

    Remembering 9/11

This may seem off topic, but really it isn't... are any of you aware of MK Ultra?
  7. TLHKAJ

    Domestic Violence

Exactly ...that was something I mentioned in a previous post ..."what if he had a sexual relationship with a girlfriend before marriage to his wife?"
  8. TLHKAJ

    Domestic Violence

Are you saying fornication is not grounds for divorce?
  9. TLHKAJ

    Domestic Violence

I don't see why not. I absolutely do accept it. There's just a lot more I would like to say...or add ....or ask ....

    Domestic Violence

    I'm hearing you....

    Domestic Violence

Yes, I knew it was you. :) Thank you for your replies. I'm thinking that a woman in such a case should do everything within her power not to be subjected to things that are sin ...such as being forced to be used by other men ....as one example. Still, she may not marry another unless her...

    Domestic Violence

Yes, but they may not have been in touch or aware of their wounding. And isn't everyone wounded and broken to a degree? I don't think there would be any marriages if we all waited until we were perfect. lol

    Remembering 9/11

I would like to see the documentary. How do I view that?
  14. TLHKAJ

    Domestic Violence

Hmmm .... what if the situation is more complicated? Say ...neither were virgins before marriage ...both from abusive homes, he had a sexual relationship with a girlfriend before he met his wife, she was sexually abused, therefore not a virgin. Both had come to Christ before they met and...

    Domestic Violence

Yes, I agree. Grace and forgiveness should always be the first response. But how would one know if he is changed without going back to him? What looks like a reconciliation might be manipulation and setup for worse.
  16. TLHKAJ

    Domestic Violence

So a conclusion which I agree with is that she may leave, but not remarry. Of course, forgiveness toward him should be offered...but forgiveness and reconciliation are two separate things. It would be a risk for her to even test going back if he is given to violence. Now, if he is not a...

    Domestic Violence

So you're saying the woman should offer grace and remain in an abusive or even dangerous situation.
  18. TLHKAJ

    Domestic Violence

If it were God's perfect and original plan, why did he only create one woman for Adam? And why did God not remove several ribs and create more women than just Eve? And why did God start over after the flood with Noah and his sons and each having one wife? Why does Scripture say that a man should...

    Domestic Violence

According to Strong's Concordance, putting away is the same thing as divorcing. _____ G630 Greek: ἀπολύω Transliteration: apolýō Pronunciation: ap-ol-oo'-o ---------- Description: from ἀπό(G575) and λύω(G3089); to free fully, i.e. (literally) relieve, release, dismiss (reflexively, depart), or...
