Could you quote the exact scripture reference you base this on? Matthew 19 doesn't seem to address DV at all and Paul is not the speaker there.

And yet ...even in case of fornication, there is a distinction between putting away and divorcement. If a man put his wife away bc of fornication, he was to give her a bill of divorcement.

Yes, and I'm considering the difference. So still, a man can divorce his wife if she was not a virgin when he married her. But if a man had committed fornication prior to marriage, she has no right to divorce ....right?

And yet, fornication is?

Okay ...so all things considered, there is no protection for women and children in cases of DV/abuse....according to the Bible.

What was permitted? Annulment?

What if, say, a woman is being beaten, subjected to abusive or violent or degrading sex acts, or offered/given to other men? What if they both were believers at marriage, but eventually the husband falls away and there is no chance of marriage counseling? What I am looking for is...

So what if either of them failed to honor that covenant? Did that constitute an annulment of the marriage?

Does the Bible specifically give any rights to women/wives who are experiencing domestic violence? I know a lot of people will give their opinions that a woman should leave in such cases. But is that supported Scripturally? What advice can you give based upon the Word of God? I'm fine with...

Wanna know something else? I heard a person who works at Walmart say that weeks before the Covid thing hit, their employers were telling them to throw all the seeds into the trash. There is no real seed (or any other) shortage. This WAS a manufactured "crisis."

Absolutely ...I've always had very transparent and honest communication with my children...a lot by necessity.
