@Behold, would you expound the following:

Although, if you continue down to verse 11, you will find that chastening produces the peaceable fruit of righteousness in those who are exercised thereby. And therefore, while entire sanctification may still be ahead for some, it is still not something entirely apart from the spectrum of what...

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

If it is an assumption it is an assumption based on holy scripture itself. 2Ti 3:15, And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2Ti 3:16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is...

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Did not His Spirit inspire every word of holy scripture? Therefore, when you don't believe the scriptures, you don't believe the Spirit and Christ. Yes, there are those who search the scriptures, for they think that in them they have eternal life; and are unwilling to come to Christ in order...

    Seeing Sanctification

    Nope. A man is justified through faith alone apart from works (Romans 4:5-6 (1-8), Titus 3:5 (kjv) (4-7), Ephesians 2:8-9). Tit 3:5, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

We cannot outshine Christ's righteousness. But in studying to shew ourselves approved, we make certain that we will not be deceived by the lies of the enemy. I think that this is important, don't you?

@Behold, would you expound the following:

And still, after an entire day of posting (in which @Behold has placed about two other threads on the boards), he has failed to yet answer this question of an exegesis of the scriptures at hand (1 John 1:7-9). I suppose I should give him more time. In three days, however, I am going to call...

    Seeing Sanctification

But of course, these ones who are deemed worthy, in Revelation 3:4, are yet not considered worthy to take the scroll and open its seals.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Simply because if he isn't, a man can be righteous apart from faith in Jesus Christ; which is an unbiblical proposition. Therefore, in order to have harmony with the rest of scripture, I conclude that the Centurion in Matthew 8:5-13 is Cornelius. And you most certainly cannot prove that he isn't.

    What is "Amazing Grace"?

I believe it does...but i am afraid that if I bring up specific cases, you will be offended and will accuse me again of being a liar. i don't want to risk it...which does not mean that there aren't valid instances in which the Catholic Chirch does indeed teach contrary to scripture. And of...

    The Real HOPE

    Of course not...ask away.

@Behold, would you expound the following:

What is this? His position in Christ does not change. But his fellowship / relationship / connectedness is altered...Isaiah 59:2.

    Spotting the Heretic

More ridiculing... The fact that Jesus is a Man does not negate the fact that He is God. But I see that you are digging in your heels because you are unwilling to give up your Catholic doctrines.

    Spotting the Heretic

This is how you deal with things you can't deal with? Ridiculing your opponent by saying that he is unable to interpret scripture. It is a valid interpretation. Yours may be too. But a house is a house. In the days of the early church, the church used to meet in houses. When the saints...

    Spotting the Heretic

There is one mediator between God and man...and Jesus is God. Therefore Mary doesn't mediate between us and Jesus. She would be a mediator between God and man.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Maybe the salvation that he still needed was to be baptized in the Holy Ghost. But it seems to me that he had a faith in Him that may have been likened to the mustard seed faith in the parable. It was greater faith than He had seen in all of Israel. The Centurion had a faith in Jesus in...

The Old Man and The New Man

The old man is our old thought patterns that still exist in our thinking from before we were born again. Putting off the old man and putting on the new means being transformed by the renewing of your mind; so that you don't live according to the old thought patterns any more. The old man can...

    A Great sinner

Haha. You go before the throne room to pray to Him; and the Cross is where we all leave our sins. They're not necessarily in the same place physically.

    The woman caught in adultery.

Yes, the pastor touches on that in the message. :)

    The woman caught in adultery.

If you skip the worship it's about 45-60 minutes long. But the worship is good...I would encourage you not to skip it but to join in.

The Old Man and The New Man

I believe that the new man is our new spirit as it becomes one spirit with Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:17, Ephesians 3:19-20)....and our flesh as it becomes one flesh with Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, Ephesians 5:30-32)...in that it becomes crucified and the element of sin within it...
