    The Twins

If I have access, I can go in and out and find pasture (John 10:9).

    The Twins

The born again, while he has indwelling sin, still does not have to sin and it is true of him that he "does not" and "cannot" sin (1 John 3:9) and that the one who abideth in Christ "sinneth not" (1 John 3:6); because the element of sin is rendered dead within the flesh of the sanctified...

    The woman caught in adultery.

Because, as this pastor was teaching through the word at the church that I currently attend, it just so happened that the Holy Ghost addressed the very thing that I was going through. I don't think that it would have the same power if I posted the truths of God's word concerning this myself as...

Jesus died for our sins. What does that mean?

It means that we are justified through His shed blood (Romans 5:9) so that our sins are covered and the Lord will not impute sin to us (Romans 4:7-8).

    The Twins

So, you are claiming to be without sin in the practical sense? You don't commit sin? When is the last time you committed a sin? In the sense of, what might be practically called a sin if the law applied to you. Because you claim that your sinlessness is not merely positional but practical...

    The Twins

I am not trying to prove anything. The scriptures bear witness to the fact that I am simply telling the truth on this matter; they side with my pov. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8. The scripture has concluded all under sin; that...

    The Twins

Positionally. In the sense of the fact of indwelling sin, scripture is clear that if we say we don't have it, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

    The woman caught in adultery.

    Amen sister. @BreadOfLife, your thoughts?

    The Twins

God always did save sinners through the Cross and through the Cross alone. People in the OT merely looked forward to the Cross. Also, we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand (Romans 5:2).

    A Great sinner

So, there is sin in Christ?
  11. J

    What is "Amazing Grace"?

We receive the gift of salvation through faith alone and it is a free gift. We receive the Holy Spirit by faith (Galatians 3:14). Then, as a part of this gift (as the result of faith alone), the Lord sheds abroad His love in our hearts through the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5). This love is not in...

    The woman caught in adultery.

Also, it is to prove that the Holy Spirit defended me concerning a previous battle that we had; and that I am not defending myself.

    The woman caught in adultery.

touche. I posted the link because I believe that you can benefit from the entire message. If you don't want to listen to it because you think it to be too long, it is because you are lazy or impatient.

@Behold, would you expound the following:

Isaiah 59:2 tells us that sin separates us from God. And since the blood of Jesus covers our sins so that we stand in a position of grace, this separation can only be referring to relationship / fellowship / connectendess. For him to see his error while exegeting the verses. For him to see...

    The Twins

God forgives sin through the precious blood of His only begotten Son. This is not going soft on sin; because in forgiving us He also provided the Holy Ghost who enables us to live a holy life; and He also sanctifies us through His blood (Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 10:29, 1 John 1:7).
  16. J

    The Twins

You are mistaken. Jews in the OT were saved also by grace through faith. They merely looked forward to the Cross. Abraham is a primary example of this in Genesis 15:6. You can also look at the record of Jewish people who were saved by grace through faith in Hebrews 11.

    The Twins

It is after the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled that all Israel shall be saved (Romans 11:26). During the times of the Gentiles, God preserves a faithful remnant (Romans 9:27, Romans 11:4-5).

    The Twins

I have no hatred for the Jewish people. I would make the point that Jesus promises with absolute terminology...Verily, verily, I say unto you...he who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto llife...

    The woman caught in adultery.

Because He is merciful and did not come into the world to condemn the world but to save it (John 3:17). He was at that very moment headed to the Cross, through which the woman caught in adultery would be forgiven, not only for her adultery, but for every sin that would ever be committed by her...
