God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

with passion is obviously not in the Greek. It is in italics in the translations in which it is included. Go ahead and take a chance on this if you so desire. Your blood is no longer on my head concerning it.

    True Trinity.

The first one tells us that the Father is a Spirit, the second one tells us that the Spirit dwelling in Jesus is the Father, if you take into account the first. What other interpretations are valid in your opinion? I'm interested in knowing. chapter and verse? Because He is the Lord God.

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

One way or another (Revelation 20:15, Revelation 20:10).

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Calling someone's statements idiotic is tantamount to calling them an idiot...(which is a sin according to our Lord) You are guilty, like it or not. I guess you have to go and confess this sin to a priest now, don't you? If I had done the same, I can go directly to the Lord...an advantage...

    True Trinity.

There is one Lord (Ephesians 4:5). Jesus and the Father are one. The Father is also the only Lord of heaven and earth (Ephesians 4:5; Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21). In both verses, the Greek word for "and" is "kai" which can be translated "even".

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Justify and rationalize your sinful behaviour...it's on you...

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

See Matthew 5:29-30 (its topical context). And also, the plain meaning of it when you read it in the kjv.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Same thing. Nope. At least you realize that I was not bearing false witness before...at least you got that straight.

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

Act 7:51, Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. The Holy Spirit, and thus the grace of God, can be resisted.

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

Which, in James 2:19 it says that you do well if you believe and are convinced. That verse does not tell us that it is wrong to believe; but that belief must be genuine and backed up by action or fruit coming from the person who says that he believes.

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

There is only one example that I remember any more...and that is 1 Corinthians 7:9. Other translations add in italics with passion; whereas if you read it in the kjv you find and keep the understanding that it is talking about burning in hell.

Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

However, this does not apply to those who understand and know that they have the truth of salvation; when they have the truth of salvation: and it can also be said that the truth of salvation is a narrow path (Matthew 7:13-14); therefore if someone knows that they have this truth; and are...

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

It is certainly not false...it is a claim that is based on my experience.

HEBREWS 6 & 7 IF THEY SHALL FALL AWAY ***

Concerning Hebrews 6:1-8, I normally like to bring up the following scriptures: Job 14:7-11 Luke 1:37 Psalms 31:22 Acts of the Apostles 27:20-22 Matthew 19:26. The devil loves to use the passage in question to heap condemnation on those who are, in fact, not condemned.

    Its not what you know

1Co 8:1, Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 1Co 8:2, And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 1Co 8:3, But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Do you belong to "the [true] Church" (1 Tim 3:15)?, if so, how do you prove it?

The "One True Church" is the body of Christ. Then give scripture to back up your statements.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

1Pe 3:20, Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 1Pe 3:21, The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

@ScottA, You are not going to be able to convince anyone of your pov who has the Spirit of God. You might be able to confirm the beliefs of someone who has the spirit of antichrist...

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

There are certain ways that other translations translate certain verses, that amount to less of a deterrent concerning specific types of sins. The kjv kept me on the straight and narrow. When I moved to a different translation, I became lacksadaisical in my faith and ended up sinning. As long...

God's Desire is that All Men be Saved!

No. See Romans 3:19; Romans 6:14. Those who are in Christ are not slaves to sin. But when God the Father draws a man to Christ, he is enabled to receive Him. But this does not preclude that he will receive Him. The drawing of the Father of men to Christ and the Father giving men to Christ...
