    The false gospel of grace

You missed the point. The point is that they are perfect. And that their attitude, as those who have been perfected, is that they hold themselves to have room to grow. Iow, it is the attitude of the perfect that they would have a humble attitude wherein they are unaware of the work that the...

    The false gospel of grace

Give me the same verses in the kjv; and maybe I'll read them.

    The false gospel of grace

The temptation might be present in seeing someone provocatively dressed of the opposite sex. However, there is the option of looking away before my body reacts in an adverse manner. See Job 31:1.

    The false gospel of grace

What part of it is nonsense in your opinion? Have you never read James 1:14?

    The false gospel of grace

If you want to win the argument, you can ask, when is the last time you sinned? or, are you sinless? I would be constrained by 1 John 1:8 to declare that I am not sinless or that I do not claim to be sinless; though I believe that entire sanctification is possible. From that point you can...

    The false gospel of grace

It is not a sin to be tempted. It is a sin to actually do what you are tempted to do. Also, in my own personal life I have not ever yelled at the person cutting me off, or even gotten angry with them (since I received Christ before getting my driver's license).

    The false gospel of grace

If we didn't want to commit the sin, it wouldn't be temptation. The nature of temptation is, that we are drawn away of our own desires, and enticed. The point of 1 Corinthians 10:13 is that we can have the victory over our own desires. Nope.

What to do when you are beyond repentance?

As long as there is breath in you, there is hope for repentance.

What to do when you are beyond repentance?

@batheltler01, You have a measure of faith in you. Why not try using the measure of faith that you have to attempt to obtain a greater measure of faith? Keep seeking Him. Don't give up. Jer 29:13, And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Deu 4:29...

Very likely false teachers of the kind spoken of in Jude 1:3-4.

    The false gospel of grace

1Co 10:13, There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. We don't ever have to give in to temptation when...

    The false gospel of grace

You are giving too much credit to satan. God is greater than the devil (1 John 4:4).

    The false gospel of grace

re #173 (The false gospel of grace): You are the one saying that that is the case (he still sins). I am not.

    The false gospel of grace

Tit 2:14, Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 1Jo 1:7, But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us...

    The false gospel of grace

We need Him to abide in, the basis for walking in freedom from sin is abiding in Christ. John 15:1-7, 1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17.

    The false gospel of grace

I think that you are the one making that claim.

    The false gospel of grace

If that is the case then he is not born of God and is not abiding in Christ. 1 John 3:6,9.

    The false gospel of grace

I am not claiming to be without sin; I am only saying that it is possible to be in such a state. Job 9:20, If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. Job 9:21, Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would...

I believe that the following, posted before, adequately answers your verse; because your verse is within the scripture verses mentioned (Romans 7:14-25).

What to do when you are beyond repentance?

@batheltler01, Please consider the following scripture and perhaps follow it as an example: Mar 9:23, Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mar 9:24, And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe...
