    Obedience of you all...

Pro 4:18, But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. If we keep shining brighter, it is not impossible that we should at some point reach the level of highest brightness: 1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth...

    Obedience of you all...

Both Jesus and Paul and John speak of being sanctified wholly, as well as does the author of Hebrews (and I think James and Jude touch on it as well). It is not set forth as a goal that is unattainable, but as a goal to be reached after. Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for...

    Obedience of you all...

When the scripture says, "You will not carry out the desires of the flesh," he emphasizes, "so the desire of the flesh is still there" which is in effect opposite to the message of the verse; which tells us that we do not have to carry it out. Other than that, what he said is not in...

    Very likely a false teacher.

    Obedience of you all...

There is scripture for it; and therefore it is faithful doctrine. Commentary on Romans.

    Obedience of you all...

2Co 2:9, For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. 2Co 7:15, And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him. It should go...

    Getting Grace Right

We are members of His body. Also, see Colossians 1:5 and 1 Peter 1:4. Col 1:5, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 1Pe 1:4, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in...

Without unconditional Election,no one would be saved.

If faith is the instrument by which we gain access into grace, how is it that some of you teach that faith comes as the result of grace?

So, the next step is for you to explain how by does not mean because of...because to me they seem to be speaking of things that are entirely synonymous in the context of the passage given.

Very simply, Romans 5:2 tells us that our access into this grace wherein we stand is by faith.

    Getting Grace Right

If there is any time that we are not under grace, you can be sure that we will blow it...our only hope of overcoming sin in life is through the grace of our Lord.

I witnessed someone speaking in tongues today

I find that many of the things that are spoken of in the book of Revelation can be none other than the wrath of the Lord on a Christ-rejecting world.

I would also point out that 1 Thessalonians 5:9 is in the immediate context of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

I believe that you have to deal with all of the passages that teach the doctrine if you are going to refute the doctrine; and you have not dealt with Revelation 3:10. Therefore, I believe if you look at the passage in Thessalonians in light of Revelation 3:10, you will see it differently.

Can a Christian have a demon?

1 John 4:4, the principle of Mark 3:27 (Jesus is the Omnipotent One).

Rom 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:10, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:11, For...

So don't answer for @Dave L any longer; let him get on here and start answering for himself. If you are going to pretend to be unified in the same doctrine you should at least try to believe the same things.

I believe that when it says we enter into grace by faith, that it means because of faith. If a dead sinner is granted spiritual life and has faith as the result, then they gained access by grace into faith. And scripture offers the opposite order. And I would say that even if it does happen...
