    The Issue of Calvinism.

Since I am not misapplying it, it does substantiate my belief quite nicely.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

The point was that Jesus did not personally exercise His faith to save the Philippian jailer; but the Philippian jailer was being called upon to exercise his faith. And therefore it is not only the faith of Christ that saves us (in the sense of Christ exercising faith); but it is our faith that...

    The Issue of Calvinism.

He loved us while we were yet sinners according to Romans 5:8. How does this apply to verses that you might bring up on how God hates the sinner?

    The Issue of Calvinism.

I won't argue with this. But I will say that Romans 5:2 holds true...that we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

Regeneration and being born again and being saved are synonymous. In the following verses, whose faith is being required? Act 16:30, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Act 16:31, And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy...

That is correct. You mean the Calvinistic view.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

This does not bear even responding to you except by my prayer for you in tongues.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

Yes, we have entered into salvation because of our faith, is what this is saying. We gained access to grace by faith.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

Salvation is being born of God. The cause of salvation is receiving Him.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

We have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand. The only thing I can think of is that you are not equating grace with salvation (when the bible clearly does so in Ephesians 2:8-9); or that you are simply ignoring the plain meaning of Romans 5:2.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

    Not apart from receiving Him.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

The apostles used great plainness of speech. 2Co 3:12, Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: Now, you may want to interpret that by some other scripture so that it means something entirely different than what it says. But the scripture itself tells you that you...

    The Issue of Calvinism.

Everybody who ever lived was lost at one point.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

Opening the door to Christ is the key to being saved. If it originates from the inside, then you are beginning with unsaved material and calling it saved for no apparent reason. The way to salvation is to receive the love of the Lord into your heart. One does not have to be virtuous on the...

    The Issue of Calvinism.

So you are saying read the kjv, but don't trust what it says in specific places until I have reinterpreted what it says in those places by a bunch of other verses.

Everybody who ever lived was lost at one point.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

What you are saying by that is that whosoever is saved will call upon the name of the Lord. It is the opposite order than what is presented in scripture.

    The Issue of Calvinism.

So you are saying that the rest of scriptutre changes Romans 10:9-13 so that it actually reads/should read: #1: Rom 10:9, That if thou shalt be saved, thou shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, and confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, Rom 10:10, For with the...

    The Issue of Calvinism.

I suppose that applies to how Calvinists interpret the word "world' as meaning two entirely opposite things in different scriptures. For it means "the elect" in John 3:16; but in John 17:14 it means "the non-elect"; by Calvinistic reasoning.
