Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of doing that; not to mention you would just accuse me of lying even more. I am on to you, @Dave L. Jhn 10:24, Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jhn...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

I have said it a million times already and you didn't believe me. I am not going to give you the satisfaction of saying so again. See John 10:24-25. Same principle, as Jesus is my example.

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

We are still responsible to open the door. There was a famous picture of Christ standing outside of a house and knocking on the door. Someone told the artist, "You made a mistake! there is no knob on the outside of the door!" The artist responded, "This is because only we can open the door...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Rev 3:20, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. . . . Also, I edited #195 (Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied)

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

You say that I believe in Sabellianism. I believe in the Trinity with an emphasis on the Oneness of the Lord, based on scripture.

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Jesus stands at the door and knocks. If you open the door, He will come in and sup with you and you with Him. The grace is in that He comes in and dwells within us when we open the door; so we are not saving ourselves; He is saving us by coming in to our hearts when we ask Him to. This is not...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

I have read the creeds. In my understanding there is exception to some of your statements, but the creeds generally do agree with my understanding. And what I hedge on agreeing with is not the creeds themselves, but your understanding of them.

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

It is still the grace of the Lord that saves me, even though I have a choice in the matter; for He died on the Cross and shed forth the Holy Ghost. We receive the Holy Ghost through faith. Faith is not works, they are mutually exclusive. However, God gives the Holy Ghost to those who obey Him...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

There is nothing in the creeds that contradicts my pov, how many times do I have to tell you that? You are simply trying to instigate an angry response out of me. re #187

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

I believe in the true Trinity. You are a Tritheist. I believe in a distinction between Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Often, when the devil is rebuked, he puts up more of a fight because he wants to prove that the rebuking was to no avail. However, the Holy Ghost is surely going to convict...

You have certainly been biting me left and right.

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Simple...when the heavenly Father draws them to Christ through the preaching of the gospel.

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

I also want to tell you something; when I discuss doctrine, my mind does not think about what I believe so that I then try to think of verses that support my belief. Rather, the word is nigh me, in my mouth and in my heart. And this means that when I come across false doctrine, the scripture...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Jhn 1:12, But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: By all means tell me how it is that you think that receiving Christ isn't a choice that we make...I'm all ears.

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

I worship the God of the Bible (and also believe in the true Trinity), and you are persecuting me for doing so, because you are a Tritheist (and not Trinitarian at all). Even as it is written, Gal 4:29, But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

By all means tell me...What is damnable about it? How does it bring condemnation?
