How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

I said a "humble response" from a "softened heart". The Holy Spirit does the softening, and the humble response is the result of that. But this softening work is not regeneration.

How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

See Jeremiah 15:19...we are called to take the precious from the vile.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

    Yes indeed...1 Thessalonians 5:19-21.

Salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Yes, I agree...but you should also look up the scriptures that I have referenced. He continually cleanseth us from all sin...which indicates that I am cleansed from all sin every moment of my life...every new moment that sin comes in from the outside to make me dirty. Therefore my state would...

Salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

What do you define as remission of sins?

Salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

It can be an event, or it can be a process that leads up to an event (being sanctified wholly).

Salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

I think that I would define sanctification as that which is spoken of in 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (kjv), Hebrews 10:14, 1 John 3:9 (kjv), Jude 1:24 (kjv), 2 Peter 1:10 (kjv), 1 John 2:10, Titus 2:14, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Romans 8:12, etc.

Salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

I am asking both: Can it justify without also sanctifying; and, can it sanctify without also justifying? But primarily the first one.

Salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Such scriptures as Romans 5:9 w/ Romans 5:1, Romans 3:25, Hebrews 9:22, Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 10:29, and 1 John 1:7 all speak of the fact that salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. It both justifies and sanctifies (cleanses us from all sin). A question: When appropriated...

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

Discerning of spirits? How do you think that spiritual gift even works? By understanding such verses as 1 John 4:5-6, John 15:18-20, 1 John 3:13-15 and how they apply to people's reaction to you as a born again believer.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

I feel that you are being rather vague here. What gift are you referring to?

How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

It requires a humble response from a softened heart (Psalms 34:18, Psalms 51:17, Isaiah 57:15, Isaiah 66:2), which is a work of the Holy Spirit.

How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

They are given three lights: the light of Creation (Romans 1); if they heed that light they are given light #2, the light of conscience (Romans 2); and if they heed the light of conscience, they will be shown the light of Christ (Romans 3). If they heed that light, they will be saved.

They must be convicted and drawn by the Holy Spirit, which is not the same thing as regeneration. Nope.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

If the gift that you are referring to is the word of God, then you are being redundant (it appears to be one of your gifts!)

How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

God will not regenerate you without your permission. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman (John 1:12, Revelation 3:20, Acts of the Apostles 3:19).
