For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

That guy acts like an idiot, or, that guy acts like a saint...would be referring to the person's behaviour in today's English language...now of course it would preclude that the person in his character may not actually be an idiot or a saint...but it refers to behaviour nevertheless.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

It would be against the laws of the land where I live...but if warranted by God...would it be necessarily an ungodly practice to do that today if the laws of the land were to mandate such thing? Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and for ever.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

We weren't looking at the word "acting" anywhere in the Bible, so going to a Greek word isn't warranted...understanding what the word means in English will do just fine.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

All scripture is given by inspiration of the Lord and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

The way I see it, apart from free will, we are faced with accepting either Universalism or Limited Atonement...one or the other. Because Irresistible Grace is a reality (1 Corinthians 13:8, Revelation 19:6). And therefore, if God wills all to come to repentance and to be saved and come to the...

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

But some of God's word doesn't apply to us today...smorgasborg religion.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

I'm going to let the Holy Spirit be the One to answer that question for you.

How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

So then, you at the very least realize that we have a responsibility to evangelize...because the verses just previous to the one quoted, tell us...how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? Thus the Calvinistic proposition that some are elect and some...

How Free Will Destroys the Gospel

In Romans 5:1-2, we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand.

    Jesus!

At that point I might tell them that in their heart, they are taking away from the word of the Lord...and are therefore in danger of having their name removed from the Book of Life and their part taken out of the holy city, according to Revelation 22:18-19. While this will often bring about a...

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

Hebrews 3:7-8, Hebrews 3:15, and Hebrews 4:7, I suppose, is also speaking to the immediate audience and not to us. Sometimes it can be a double-edged sword.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

Something that a child might say when he has lost an argument.
