    The Problem With The Trinity

I normally feel the joy that comes from worship when all the saints are together worshiping the Lord. I can only say that we as believers are members of the body of Christ...and let you take it from there.

Ya, I was in the process of writing I the reply when you wrote what you wrote that I am responding to now.

Or, it can be interpreted as, in Christ we are not under the law, are dead to the law, and are delivered from the law...sin is the transgression of the law...and where the law does not apply there is no transgression...and therefore we cannot sin because the law doesn't apply to us. But this is...

    Wet Paint Principle (Freedom)

the first scripture (Matthew 5:18), declares that the law will always be the standard by which the sinner is judged. And it will always be there as a schoolmaster to lead men to Christ (Galatians 3:24-25). And also, for the one who is born again, it governs us from the inside (Hebrews 8:8-10...

Chapter and verse? I'm sure that however it is that you think that Christ contradicts Himself, there is an answer.

    The Problem With The Trinity

That the doctrine of the Trinity leads to certain conclusions does not mean that we ought to preach those conclusions if we believe in them for that we believe in the doctrine of the Trinity. However the fact that the doctrine of the Trinity leads to those conclusions means that in preaching...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Maybe He isn't one or all of the following attributes: sovereign, Omnipotent, loving. But because we both know that He is actually all of those attributes, I think that we both know that YHWH also did indeed preserve His word in John 8:24 just the way He wanted to. He is in italics: God's way...

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

Another one? I'm pretty certain it will be long and drawn out; and will not fail to revisit what was spoken in other threads on the same subject.

No; because Jesus will not impute sin to the true believer (Romans 4:8), the true believer in Christ is not obligated to obey the law. He has a different motivation for obedience: it is not an obligation to him but a privilege. We obey Jesus because we love Him; and we love Him because He...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Yes, I understand your point of view. The problem with it that I see being that in John 8:58, when Jesus broke normal grammatical usage to make a claim that He had previously made in John 8:24, the Jews understood what the implications were of what He was saying; they picked up stones to stone...

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

It seems to me that there were two who were demon-possessed but in one of the gospels the one that stood out was the one that was mentioned to the exclusion of the other. It has to do with the fact that they were eyewitnesses; and eyewitnesses sometimes perceive or tell things slightly...

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

Why? So you can continue to believe as you do? my walk with Christ is better with the kjv and worse with other translations: and you think that I must somehow be mistaken so you can keep your point of view. To each his own, I suppose; but you are questioning my sanity to a certain degree just...

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

I beg to differ. In 1 John 5:13 it says that we can know that we have eternal life. This means that we can know that we are saved, past and present tense. Now if the people who are making these contentions are doing so for doctrinal reasons (because they believe a certain way and therefore...

You would know because you were there when the earth was created, huh?

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

Oh yes there is...it is the only Bible that one can read that does what it does for my soul...making me strong in Him! As I said, reading other Bible versions has caused my walk with Christ to go downhill fast...so I will stick with a Bible that makes me spiritually healthy!

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

As for the OP question...I believe that Romans 4:8, Romans 8:38-39 ("nor things present nor things to come"), and Hebrews 9:12 handle it quite nicely.

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

It is the only example that is ever brought up anymore as far as I can tell.

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

But to the topic that is prevalent throughout this thread... God gives spiritual gifts to His children...and we can benefit from the spiritual gifts of other people, even when they operate through the writing down of the insights given to them through their spiritual gift...teaching, word of...

Proof: You were only forgiven of your past sins!

I knew, somehow, that someone would bite. The devil hates the idea of Easter as a holiday because the resurrection of Jesus Christ defeated him permanently. And Easter represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ to satan and to many people in the world. The devil would love to annihilate the...
