    The Problem With The Trinity

What you consider to be a personal attack is an attempt to get you to see the truth. See Psalms 141:5.

    The Problem With The Trinity

Since your position in doctrine dictates that you are going to die in your sins, how is it that you even think that you have the Holy Spirit? It is included in the book that the Son's name shall be called "the everlasting Father". And what this means to me is that God has provided within His...

    The Problem With The Trinity

If Jesus is not God and I worship Him as God, then it would be idolatry (putting another God before the LORD) to worship Him as God. However I am quite secure in my belief that Jesus is God. But I concede your point, that if I am wrong and you are right, it would indeed be idolatry for me to...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Jesus, the Son of God, was born of the virgin Mary...before that He was the Spirit of God, Luke 1:35. So He was preincarnate as the Spirit. There are a number of answers to your question...but I think that my answer would be that the Person in Daniel 10 was the Angel of the LORD.

    The Problem With The Trinity

Consider that the 1st Person of the Trinity exists outside of time, and is Omnipresent. Now if God the Father decided to descend in order to become the Son (see Ephesians 3:11), He cannot VACATE ETERNITY in order to do so. The 1st Person of the Trinity would remain in eternity, outside of...

    Commentary on Romans.

Yes indeed, @Deborah_ Yet it is a faith apart from obedience that actually saves (Romans 4:6). We do nothing to earn our righteous standing with God. The transformation that God works in us is through faith in Jesus Christ alone: I cannot obtain this transformation by doing some good work...

    Commentary on Romans.

Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. The gospel of Jesus Christ, identified in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and John 3:16 (kjv), is nothing to be ashamed of...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Of course, the translators were all mixed up so you can't trust any translation of the Bible to really be accurate...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Nope, it doesn't say, "justification by faith" in those words... My point being that in Hebrews 1:6 it is definitely borne out that God commanded the angels to worship Jesus...it just doesn't say it in the words that you require... I know my Bible quite well as a matter of fact...and was fully...

    The Problem With The Trinity

It is not idolatry to simply believe God's word, when, for example, God states that the Son is God in Hebrews 1:8-9, quoted from Psalms 45:6-7. It is clear to me that the scriptures indicate that Jesus Christ is God. The Father became a Man; and the Person that was begotten was God the Son...

    The Problem With The Trinity

The concept is right there in Hebrews 1:6-9. You have to have the exact words that you have dictated they have to be, in order to believe the truth? The Bible is a book of concepts. You won't find the words "justification by faith" anywhere in the Bible...but the concept is surely there!

    The Problem With The Trinity

The name of the Son shall be called among other things, "the everlasting Father." (Isaiah 9:6). Now you can change the wording twice in order to come up with an alternate interpretation of what the author originally intended, but I think you would be being dishonest with the scriptures...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Says the Bible! (John 8:24). You can question my interpretation, but you have to at least admit that my interpretation is a valid one: and that therefore it must be considered. And if you consider the stakes...that if I am right and you (or I) deny the Deity of Christ, you will die in your...

    Eternal Security

Jesus is sitting in the throne of the Father...Revelation 3:21! Since Jesus is the Lord (1 Corinthians 8:6, 1 Corinthians 12:3 (kjv)), and the Father is the Lord of heaven and earth (Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21), but if they are not the same Lord, then that is two Lords. But Ephesians 4:5 says...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Jesus said, Unless you believe that I AM (He is in italics) you will die in your sins... Our salvation therefore hangs on whether we believe Jesus is God... If the blood that was shed was not the blood of God (see Acts of the Apostles 20:28 (kjv)), then it was insufficient to save us.
  16. J

    Eternal Security

Actually, there is one Lord, period (Ephesians 4:5)...not two! And He is God (Mark 12:29 (kjv)). Therefore if Jesus is the Lord (and He is...1 Corinthians 8:6, 1 Corinthians 12:3), then He is God.

    The Problem With The Trinity

    wishful thinking.

    The Problem With The Trinity

There is no doubt in my mind that I know the truth concerning who Jesus Christ is (that He is God)...I take it you deny the veracity of Ephesians 3:9 (kjv)...since in Isaiah 44:24 (kjv) it says that Jehovah God made the heavens and the earth by Himself and all alone...how is it that He made all...

    The Problem With The Trinity

Right...however we know from scripture that if someone denies that Jesus is the great I AM, they will die in their sins (John 8:24)...so scripture makes the call for us and determines that the Deity of Christ is essential doctrine as pertains to our salvation.

    The Problem With The Trinity

I know the truth...that Jesus Christ is the God who made each and every last one of us. To deny this plain fact of scripture is not only to teach false doctrine...it is to place one's self in a situation wherein if he died tonight, it would be in his sins. Where do people go in eternity, who...
