    what's the point anymore

Hi Michael, Is Jesus Christ a true god or a false god? If true, doesn't that mean that He is the only true God (John 17:3)? And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, even (Greek: kai) Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. If false, then why even be a pseudo-christian...

    what's the point anymore

Jesus was indeed made according to the seed of David (Romans 1:3). Did you know that the Bible says that Jehovah has a Maker (Isaiah 45:11)? He is also a Person (Romans 8:26-27). He has a mind, and also makes intercession for us.

"We all be the same...tell me why, tell me why, we're divided...?"

Also, we are not all the same. Some of us are born again of the Holy Spirit; and others aren't.

However, we know that we have the Spirit of the Lord...and you don't. No one can say that Jesus is the Lord (see Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21, Ephesians 4:5) except by the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 12:3 (kjv)). Therefore if you don't confess that Jesus is the Lord (God), you don't have the Holy...

The fact that someone who denies the Deity of Jesus Christ is against the King James Version is an indictment on the non-kjv position, impaho. Other than that, I am not going to argue with you: I did enough of that at CARM where there is a whole section devoted to the subject; and the people...

The prodigal (if you would read the parable) was "dead" and "lost" until he was "found" and was "alive again".

"We all be the same...tell me why, tell me why, we're divided...?"

We are all different members of the body. You may be an eye, and I might be an ear, someone else might be a foot. Does the ear say, "because I am not an eye, I am not of the body..." he might indeed do that; but it doesn't make him not of the body. Yes indeed, we are all different; and God...

For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Psalms 51:3.

Since the title of this thread is in my signature; and is also very likely a response to my signature, I feel compelled to answer (sorry I took so long to do so, the devil tried to slip this whole thing past me). Psalms 51 is, in context, the prayer of a penitent sinner, written by King David...

    " Surrender.."

This was left out: Surrender for Deliverance. "Come to Me . . . and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). It is only after we have begun to experience what salvation really means that we surrender our will to Jesus for rest. Whatever is causing us a sense of uncertainty is actually a call...

This is getting into another subject, but okay...First of all, translating it as Easter doesn't create a change in doctrine for the worse but for the better...it is clear to me that the devil himself hates the concept of Easter, because it is the very thing that defeated him (since Easter is a...

"We all be the same...tell me why, tell me why, we're divided...?"

I keep hearing this song on Christian radio; and it has elements of wrongness to it. It implies that we ought to compromise truth for the sake of unity. I will answer the question...we are divided because we don't study to show ourselves approved so that we might know what the Bible teaches (2...

In claiming to be the Son of God He was claiming to be the Lord God Himself. Did you even read Isaiah 9:6?

The original autographs have been lost to us is what I have heard. Therefore our acceptance of the word of God is not based on the original languages, but on the understanding that God in His sovereignty, Omnipitence, and love, preserved the unadulterated message of the gospel/the whole counsel...

The point of my "deflection" was that when Jesus asked the scribes and Pharisees what good work they were stoning Him for (which was now the second time they did this); they responded with the reason, which I testified to in a post above (see also John 10:33). Now obviously the scribes and...

I do believe however that the sin of teaching false doctrine is worthy of damnation; because the person teaching it is leading others down a path to destruction and is not only responsible for his own fate. Thus what is written in James 3:1.

Lol....I don't really like it very much either...!

I would say that some are predestinated unto damnation for being false teachers, because God foreknew their sin (Jude 1:4, Romans 8:29 (principle of predestination according to foreknowledge), 1 Peter 1:2 (same concept)). re #1360.
