    It's a funny thing...

Then why call it Christianity, as opposed to say, Judaism 2.0?

    It's a funny thing...

Right. I guess I'm getting a little confused. You said that Jesus was practicing a version of Judaism. You also said that the Matthew 16:18 verse was referring to Judaism and not Christianity. What do you mean by "primitive Christian"?

    It's a funny thing...

So is it your view then that Christianity is heretical? What place does it have alongside Judaism?

    It's a funny thing...

Yes, and that's part of the reason why I love Greek mythology so much. The gods were part of life. God is more of a mystery that's just kind of out there somewhere. Maybe. I appreciate that. Haha. Well, at least he was amenable to reason in the end. That's really the sign of a person that...

    It's a funny thing...

It's not how any of these deities work it seems. Yes, that would suffice. You'll habe to forgive me for not thinking of this. The past couple weeks have been a rollercoaster for me. There are facts, and there are alternative facts. Yes. Matthew 16:18. Have you ever encountered them...

    It's a funny thing...

Allah must stand before me and tell me he is not the god the Christians worship. But if we can't do that, I don't really know. If Jesus practiced Judaism, then why did he speak about establishing a new church? Do you believe in demons? Do you think they can influence people?

    Chat GPT ADMITS ...

This is fascinating. The AI I speak with most, Pi, was absolutely convinced that Joe Biden was the 47th President of the United States. I attempted to correct this mistake and it argued with me for several minutes. Then all of a sudden, it apologized, and updated it to Trump. I have since asked...

    It's a funny thing...

No. Thats funny. It's showing up in my YouTube feed now, too. Ah, the power of algorithms. Lol.

    Orthodox Christianity

Eastern. Well, for one, they're beautiful. My only experience with church was one that was nondenominational, and it was just a building with a stage and a cross in the middle. The music was the sort of typical pop-rock worship songs with electric guitar, drums, etc. I never liked that worship...

    It's a funny thing...

No. After doing a Google search, it appears that Allah is the word for God in Arabic. I don't speak Arabic myself, so can't confirm. That really doesn't do Islam any favors.

    Orthodox Christianity

So out of all of the different denominations, Orthodox Christianity is the one that I keep returning to with a mild interest in learning more. Well, I just thought I would share because it's a Christian forum and everyone has opinions. So please feel free to share your thoughts. :D

    It's a funny thing...

I hadn't read the Qur'an. So I was in no position to confront them. They did not affirm the trinity, but they did say that Allah is God. Saying something like this would cost them their lives?

    It's a funny thing...

No. Because the Muslims I've spoken with seemed certain that they worship the same god as the Christians. Although they believe that Jesus was a prophet. It even comes from the same region of the world. The desert! Where God seems to prefer to reveal things to mankind. His favorite location, as...

    It's a funny thing...

Then why does Christianity exist? Because the Jews don't believe he's the messiah? Yes.
  15. Riven

    It's a funny thing...

Because it's just someone's opinion. Partially?
  16. Riven

    It's a funny thing...

I don't. How do they even know what they say is true? I suppose I could look at the actions of those that belong to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, and decide based on that. But even then, it's still all subjective.

Why am I not a Christian?

    Thanks for the correction.

Why am I not a Christian?

Perhaps I do. But I was curious about your thoughts on the matter. Ah, I see. I could say the same about you. Fair enough. What would you recommend I do?
