    President Trump is fasting

Political detachment is not necessarily about never being informed or involved. It's about embracing the fact that we have very little control over it all and could possibly be better off focusing on our own interests primarily. I love pro life stuff. But I dont need to be marching on the...

    President Trump is fasting

I vote for more political detachment. Being consistently informed and opinionated about politics is overrated. You can be informed and have the "right" opinions but what does this actually do in the world? I see far more people being driven to rage and angst from political news than doing any...

    Is Marriage Worth It?

Lack of accountability is more a problem for women in the west. If a woman is abused, she can go to the police, a domestic violence shelter, and get a lot of support. A Man who is abused has less resources and can even be accused of abuse himself.

    Is Marriage Worth It?

My husband and I were both raised in wife-in-charge type households. I saw firsthand that even though my mom deliberately chose a passive man, she was exhausted and not suited to lead the household. Leadership is not an easy task.

What Kind of "Wife Mirror" Am I? (Video)

I reflect back to my husband many lessons he's taught me. I strive to be my best because he has invested so much in me.

30 Reasons To Quit Social Media

I'm thankful to have deactivated my Facebook account. I just use their messenger service now. I have a limited amount of empathy to give that should mostly be going to my loved ones and not folks on a social media account. I keep up with my family through a group text and have a handful of...

    What's On Your Mind?

I don't fit in. I hate that so much of American culture has become about competing downward to maintain a false sense of equality. America was a meritocracy. Each individual was credited based on their own merit. Now so many are competing in the victim Olympics and I can't really get behind it.

    Is Marriage Worth It?

A lot of young men are opting out of marriage today. I would rather that, than people end up in disastrous marriages. It's odd to say it because marriage has given me a sense of purpose and identity. But we live in a "me first and only" culture that is not conducive to marriage. Men in the...

    Unfading Beauty: Wisdom from Wives

I've made peace with being feminine. Im actually glad my husband sees me as the weaker vessel and does not expect the same amount if work as himself. I don't have to do what he does. Like Eve, I'm a helpmate and a companion. I'm here to beautify life beyond just survival and nurture life as a...

    Home as Ministry

Cleaning and running a home can become drudgery without taking time for whimsy. Eating off a special vintage plate, lighting a candle, putting pretty flowers in a vase are not essential but that's the point. They remind us that we can do more than just survive in the world. Whimsy, beauty...

    What's On Your Mind?

The main mood seems to be happy but tired. My life is going well but it is tiring to care for the corresponding responsibilities of the blessings. Im glad God sees it all and will reward us according to what we did.

    Korean beauty

I used to use a Korean skin spray on my face every day called D'alba truffle oil. I use it still at times when I want to look extra dewy but it's great to spray over a bare face or makeup for a healthy glow look. If you're interested, Ill find a link. I used Amazon to order it.

    Unfading Beauty: Wisdom from Wives

My husband has been a covering for me. He works 60 hours a week so I can be at home. He comes home from work and plays with the children. I don't know how he continues to be generous on top of what he already does for us. He is a better person than I am. He has taught me so many important...

    What's On Your Mind?

Im not really sure why God is so kind to me or why He has given me so many blessings. All I can say is thank you, Lord.

    What's On Your Mind?

I see appearances as a sign of the times and society we live in. Times are very rough. But since you asked, I do like to people watch. Glad you find that funny. Im sure you could use a laugh.

    Low carb diet

I'm a big fan of low carb diets. I was on carnivore for multi-month stints. My skin glowed. I lost weight. My hormones balanced. It did really well for me. My husband lost over 70 pounds. Now Im no longer on keto or carnivore but I still benefit from the way carnivore broke my addiction to sugar...

    What's On Your Mind?

We ended up getting the Korean BBQ and going bowling yesterday. It was so much fun, I didn't get many pictures. I'm glad we were able to go out like that. The BBQ was excellent. You get fresh ingredients and you cook it yourself on a grill in the middle of the table. I lost at bowling both...
