crowns, no crowns, Revelation 17, Revelation 12, Revelation 13

Douggg noted: >The beast-king is then mortally wounded but healed head in Revelation 13> The beast receives a mortal wound, yet survives, which further enhances his reputation (Revelation 13:3). His reputation dwindles when he takes a seat in the temple, professing to be God incarnate...

Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

"Earth" (Revelation 13:12) is Greek γη = " land." There was no concept of planet earth in Biblical times.

crowns, no crowns, Revelation 17, Revelation 12, Revelation 13

    >The noun is neuter in the Greek manuscript> Yes, "beast" (Greek θηριον) is neuter. But this is a metaphor, comparing this man to a beast/animal. He is a vicious person with no concern for human life. He will be thrown into hell, along with Satan (Revelation 19:20, 20:1-3). "Number of a man"...

crowns, no crowns, Revelation 17, Revelation 12, Revelation 13

Suggestion: "Beast" (Greek θηριον, diminutive form of θηρ) that rises up out of the sea (Revelation 13:2) is apparently a cherub, who allies with a human ruler. "Woman riding the beast" (Revelation 17:3-5) = city of Babylon (lots of money, which irritates the human ruler, so he attacks the...

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

"Church" is an English rendering of Greek εκκλησια (εκ = from, καλεω = call), i.e. those who are called from where they were. "No man comes to me unless the Father draws him" (John 6:44).

The Relationship Between Israel and the Church

"Church" is an English rendering of Greek ξκλησια (ecclesia) = "those who are called out." The English word "ecclesiastical" stems from this Greek word εκληδια:  Greek εκ = "from" + καλεω = "call" i.e. "those who are called out." See also Matthew 28:14: "Many are called, few are chosen."

Are we living in the end times?

Soberex noted: "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out, and I will write upon him the name of my God..." (Revelation 3:12). It's a figure of speech, see Galatians 2:9.

Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

"and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life." (Revelation 13:8) "Earth" is Greek γη = "land." There was no concept of planet earth in Biblical times. Those who dwell in the *land* will worship the...

Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

The Catholic Church was holding things together in the Middle East many years ago. Eventually some Catholics protested that the Pope was taking too much authority onto himself, and the "Protestant" denominations arose. One such denomination is Seventh Day Adventist, founded by Ellen G. White...

Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

"Sabbath" is Hebrew שבח (Shabat) = "Day of Rest," traditionally observed on Saturday. Jesus was in the tomb three calendar days: o. Friday evening o. all Saturday o. Sunday morning "Three days" is noted by Jesus in Matthew 12:40: "...so will the Son of man be *three days* and three nights in...

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

The Romans tore down the Jewish temple in 70 A.D. I visited there once, it is gone, not one stone left.

Are we living in the end times?

"Messiah" is Hebrew משיח (Mashiach in English). It indicates "Anointed one." See Isaiah 61:1-3. The antichrist rules the land (Greek γη, Revelation 13:8). He does not rule planet earth, that is absurd.

    Four horseman in Revelation

Four horses, Revelation 6:1-7: o white horse = conquest by Antichrist, a.k.a. the Beast. o red horse = armed conflict ("take peace from the land"). o black horse = famine cause by the war o pale horse = death by conflict, hunger, disease, wild animals. "Earth" is Greek γη = "land," referring...

Are we living in the end times?

Brakelite noted: >Jesuit-inspired masterpiece> >Daniel of seven years> IMO: "Seven" (Daniel 9:25) is seven years, where a year is 360 days. Daniel 9:25 predicts that from the time of the decree to restore/rebuild Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven...

Are we living in the end times?

IMO: Time is the interval in which action occurs. Action requires space, matter, and energy. Without these there can be no sense of time. God created the universe, He does not dwell in it.

Are we living in the end times?

IMO: "Time" is the interval in which action occurs. Action requires space, matter, energy. So if we had no space, it would not matter. :-)

Are we living in the end times?

No temple in the new heavens and earth (Revelation 21:22). The temple is a proxy for the presence of God. Jesus is God, second person of the trinity, God Almighty become flesh. Jesus died as the Lamb of God, he will come back as the Lion of Judah. There are two teams here, Jesus and Satan.

When Might Satan With His Angels Come to This Earth For the Tribulation?

IMO: A plant is a body. A dog is a body and soul ("soul" = "intelligence"). A person is a body and soul and spirit (1Thessalonians 5:23). "Spirit" = "communion with God." Ours currently is turned off.
