Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Going by HOW you see bdavidc, you only have advice to give others; definitely no good news....and my guess is, you don't tell the difference....so, judgement is your only option when your advice is not followed.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

You have the NT scriptures; the words of Jesus and the letters and witness of the Apostles. If you do not hear them neither will you if I quote them.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Your judgement of others bdavidc and its justification is its own testimony.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Swallowing camels and straining out knats always misses the point bdavidc and gets everything back to front. Repentance is a result of seeing the kindness of God....and the kindness of God ie, forgiveness, precedes repentance. Trying to gain God's favour by repentance indicates either not...

Justified unto : Righteousness = Empowered unto Holiness

Why all these never ending words about how to be saved? The communications of Jesus are about God's character and attempting to correct mans erroneous perception of it.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

I can see you are unfamiliar with Matthew 5.....or you choose to not take it seriously.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Who is it that has confessed all their sins? I certainly haven't.....and why haven't I? because most of the sins I've committed aren't recognised by myself as sins and secondly, I don't remember the majority of my sins. Maybe you're an exception, but I was born into a race of malcontents who...

What happened to the 10 toes in Daniel 2?

If we are to use the interpretation Daniel gives of feet and ten toes of iron and clay being strong nations and weak nations do we apply that globally or just to Western Europe? Seeing biblical consciousness has moved from a limited global awareness to global awareness post the Roman Empire, I...

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

When you stand in judgement of another, in this case Dolly Parton, you stand in judgement of God who has forgiven all her sins. How she understands that forgiveness and what she does with it is her business with God. The scripture tells us that Christ died for the ungodly, yes, he has forgiven...

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Condemning sinners under the guise of disapproving sin has been the Pharisaical game for millennia. Its nothing more than a decoy dressed in pious words.....from ones own sins.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Did Jesus love LGBTQ people? Was he loyal to them? What about murderers and adulterers, was he loyal to them? When you speak of Jesus forgiving sin and condemn others simultaneously you become the very enemy you claim others are.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

We don't need to verbally claim to be a judge to judge. Our language reveals whether we are judging or not. In fact, gossip is none other than bearing false witness against ones neighbour.

    Can LGBTQ individuals be saved?

Do you sin? Do you misrepresent, cut corners on your tax? Does your generosity have a short leash? Do you point the finger at sinners easily?

How can there be life after death?

Why the refusal to engage me Matthias? Is it hard to kick against the pricks?

Death Penalty: All in Favor? All Opposed?

That which is attributed to God saying or doing is not necessarily God. How can it be determined?.....by seeing Jesus. Jesus is the very definition of God. John tells definitely that Jesus is the only one who reveals God as he actually is. John 1:17-18 For the law was given through Moses, but...

How can there be life after death?

My attention is on you and your words, not manchurian's. Maybe you could give my question a look at?
