Is our soul immortal or mortal?

Inadvertently. They believed things about God that just wasn't correct.

Is our soul immortal or mortal?

Mortality is the given as children of Adam since he ate of a particular tree he was told would cause him to die. Ok, ok....a small discourse to set the scene.... Adam and Eve came from God's hand as did all Creation on our planet with God declaring it very good. Life was a given. It reflected...

    Burial vs Cremation

Wrangler, after all this time you are still confused about my position even though it has been made plain multiple times. What can I say?

    Burial vs Cremation

Bob, to save Angelina stress, you might like to initiate another thread and post these questions into it. Watcha say?....and of course post a link to it from here.

    Burial vs Cremation

If we go down the line of your logic Anchorite, we must say that Jesus had a seperate entity called 'the spirit'. It also assumes he had another seperate entity called 'the soul'....and then of course there is his body. This allows jumping all over the theological spectrum as to what goes where...

    Burial vs Cremation

I would say that you believe that he believed that. This does not confirm he believed it.

    Burial vs Cremation

In the process of any conversation questions are asked and answers given the which inevitably deviate from the thread. It's the nature of conversation. This does not mean the thread is abandoned nor does it mean one has the right to sabotage a thread by maintaining a deviated course. If this...

    Burial vs Cremation

It means I believe Jesus is the full and complete representation of his Father. In other words, he has successfully countered Satans insinuations (lies)that God is both good and evil (as believed by Old Testament writers) God has forgiven all my sins and has never been out for payback ie...

    Burial vs Cremation

It's no different. Jesus was in absolute sync with his Father. .....Stephan reflected the spirit of Jesus Stephan prayed that the sin of his executioners not to be held against them. Jesus prayed for the forgiveness of his executioners.

    Burial vs Cremation

Stephan was not asking for revenge or what our system calls justice but rather his alignment with the spirit of Jesus; that of forgiveness and the confidence that his request is granted. He was not referring to a seperate entity to his reality.

    Burial vs Cremation

Nobody who deems themselves an active Christian feels comfortable with the idea that their points of view are influenced by fundamental pagan positions. Denial is the immediate possibility if it threatens a favourite view. Another option is to find out what the fundamental premise is of Pagan...

    Burial vs Cremation

Firstly, the idea that 'spirit' is an entity seperate from the rest of our being is a pagan view. If we take this view onboard, all manner of secondary ideas are birthed....one of which is where it goes when you die. If we ask, 'what spirit reigns in you'? don't we mean what is your attitude/...

If Iran wants a nuclear missile it will continue on the same path it has been on

Be careful how you hear.....Jesus Luke 8:18 'Therefore consider carefully how you hear/ see. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

If Iran wants a nuclear missile it will continue on the same path it has been on

The agreement or disagreement of a view Jay, does not make that view right or wrong. Ultimately, water will find its own level.....just as it did when Jesus rose from the dead in spite of the 'informed' of the nation finding fault.

    Using the term "rapture" incorrectly

The use of certain language to convey a narrative to deflect, deceive or misrepresent is a old as Eve's encounter with the Serpent in Eden. This principle is beautifully highlighted in this presentation of 'Dissection of Deception'

If Iran wants a nuclear missile it will continue on the same path it has been on

I don't have that view at all Jay. The name 'Israel' means, he who contends with man and God and prevails. If national Israel were to feature in God's foresight, Jesus would not have let out his mournful lament as previously stated. National Israel then and now and in the years between have an...

If Iran wants a nuclear missile it will continue on the same path it has been on

Israel as a nation has abandoned its special status as God's representatives. They have cursed themselves. They have given themselves over to the Baals of this world; they destroy themselves.....and Jesus sorrowfully laments, 'Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those...

If Iran wants a nuclear missile it will continue on the same path it has been on

I see you recognise Israel as Western civilisation......an interesting take!

If Iran wants a nuclear missile it will continue on the same path it has been on

If Iran wants a nuclear missile it will continue on the same path it has been on If the USA wants more nuclear missiles it will continue on the same path it is on. While we look at the enemy without and point fingers we miss the enemy within.....and being duped becomes a given.

    I need advice, baptism

Baptism is a public witness to your faith in Jesus. It is not a ritual you need to perform to gain approval with God. You are not responsible for the morality of whoever baptised you.
