8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Fair enough. Of course. And many ~ not all ~ will be. Right. His Israel. Right. Grace and peace!

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

<chuckles> I mean yeah, but all unbelievers… Um… no. <smile> At Christ’s second coming, the time of tribulation will be over. The fullness of the Gentiles will have been brought into God’s Israel and the partial hardening now on Israel removed, and thus all God’s Israel will have been saved...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Well, thank you, and I for you. But our view of the end times will not have any effect on the salvation of our souls. We are repenting of our sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and rest on Him alone for our salvation, having been born again of the Spirit, saved through grace of God...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Ah, an interesting point… I do agree, WPM, that the two are happening simultaneously, but I also think that there will be a time when large numbers of ethnic Jews will come to Christ in a very short period of time, and that will be an indication that the fullness of the Gentiles has been brought...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Right, but not yet in its fullness, as I said above. But it will be. Not fully yet, but it is. I’m not sure why many have such a hard time with the idea that the spiritual is manifesting itself fully even in all that is physical. That’s just puzzling to me. But, it is what it is, and I say that...

Ah, well… this is not a direct answer to your question, but it should be more than sufficient for a person of your great intelligence… “Jesus answered (Nicodemus), ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ “ Grace and peace to you, David.

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

RWB, God is making all things new (Revelation 21:5), not “making new things.” So yes, it will be a “new earth”… in the sense of being renewed… restored… to perfection and without sin or death, but this time forevermore. Now, regarding God’s Kingdom, it’s here now… Jesus said so several times…...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

National Israel, as you would apparently define it, did not exist, and wouldn’t for another 2000 years or so, when Paul was writing this personal letter to the Roman Christians. Now if you had meant Israel as Paul himself defines it, then I would agree. But when Paul speaks of God’s Israel and...

RWB will probably respond to you here in a very similar manner to what I said to Davy above in Post 109. See above. <smile> Or... you know, not meaning to sound conceited or egotistical, of course, but he might just say, "What PinSeeker said." <chuckles> Grace and peace to you, David.

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Ah, 1stCenturyLady, but who does Paul, in Romans 2:28-29, define true Jews of God to be? <smile> He writes, "no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical... a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit..." And even in...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Well, fair enough, but while I wouldn't use the phrase "has you fooled terribly" with regard to you, I would say you are just as mistaken as you think I am, Davy. I will say... right back atcha, in that respect. <smile> Well, the Lord Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

I forget nothing, and agree the Old Testament prophets were speaking of Christ's millennial reign... which is now... and of His eternal reign, in eternity, of course, in the New Haven and New Earth, which is as yet future. But again, His millennial reign is doing so now, in terms of ruling over...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

So: Disagreement with regard to the millennium, which, again, has been the same since the early second century, partly concerns the chronological relation of Revelation 20:1-10 to Revelation 19:11-21. Premillennialists believe that 20:1-10 simply follows the Second Coming, which is depicted in...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Actually, that cannot be true. There were virtually no thoughts of the thousand years, the millennium, or the millennial reign of Revelation 20 in the first century, because John did not actually write his Revelation until the first century itself was almost history... all but about five years...

No, that's not what I mean. <smile> That's just you foisting things on me... and your opinion rearing its head again... <smile> Grace and peace to you, Davy.

WAYS THAT AMILS GET ZECHARIAH 14 WRONG

I don't think it's because they "can't see it," but rather just that it's never occurred to them (for one reason or another) to understand it in that way. Perhaps that will change... <smile> Just generally speaking, very often ~ even in the Bible ~ there is more than one sense in which any one...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Um, you'd have to explain where and/or you think I did, because... Sorry, that's a bit of a head-scratcher to me... Ah, you know, maybe you're saying that me disagreeing with what you said the Holy Spirit said to you is, in effect, saying the Holy Spirit said something different than He...

WAYS THAT AMILS GET ZECHARIAH 14 WRONG

Zechariah 14 is a layered prophecy. Through Zechariah, God foretells both Christ's advent (birth) and His return. So, layered, in that it has an immediate and an ultimate fulfillment. This is a larger Biblical pattern. Grace and peace to all.

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Absolutely. We will be presented blameless, for sure: "...He has now reconciled in His body of flesh by his death, in order to present (us) holy and blameless and above reproach before Him..." (Colossians 1:22) "...so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and...

8 days, the 8th day leading to a new beginning.

Right; I've said exactly that. Hm. Not disagreeing, but I'd like you to cite what they say to that effect. And no Biblical writer except John in Revelation 20 says anything about a "first resurrection," and we know how... confusing ...Revelation in general and Revelation 20 in particular is...
