    The social gospel?

To catch a monkey, people will put a shiny object at the bottom of a bottle. Once the monkey gets a grip on the shiny object he won't let go. It just so happens that the neck of the bottle is just big enough to allow the monkeys hand to slip in...but too small to allow a fist full of shiny...

    The social gospel?

What do you do with the 90% or more of believers (pastors too) and men mainly...who struggle with sins like pornography? Do you say that they are under grace? Are people who are under sin's control under grace or the law? A lot of ideology but no power. A lot of theory but where is the truth...

    The social gospel?

So, you are here for political reasons...trying to balance out the voting? What about what is being said? If many people agree with a lie...does that mean it's legit? If some people agree with the truth...is that suspect?

    The social gospel?

Matthew 26:28 ""This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the FREEDOM from sin."" Jesus came to set the captives free. :) The gospel gives us power over sin...that we should be slaves of sin no longer.

    The social gospel?

Are you saying that walking like Jesus could earn us God's wrath?

    The social gospel?

That is wrong thinking. You need to get your questions right before you can understand the answers. No. As stated the bible testifies of the cross as what sanctifies a people for God. Do a study on sanctification/holiness...a careful one.

    The social gospel?

Why do you think that to call someone your follower is an insult to them? :ummm: No. Entering into Christ is to be translated into Him to abide in Him and walk as He walked. Maybe you didn't get the memo.

    The social gospel?

You have a point there. Youtube is one of the platforms that my podcasts are on. Also I wrote a book...and I write on this forum. But last I checked google wasn't a real person. It should be very helpful. Most people have no understanding of spiritual things and preach vaguenesses so that...

    The social gospel?

You remind me of the black knight in Monty Python who, having lost both arms and both legs in the confrontation, continues to be belligerent saying that he will now use his teeth. hmmx1: A person who doesn't realize when he is fully outmatched.

    The social gospel?

I'm sorry you trust google. :) That's not how the gospel works. You want an instant forgiveness don't you? But you don't want to be holy? This proves we have a carnal agenda... But anyone who abides in Christ walks as He walked without sin. In Him is no sin. We can't walk without sin in our own...

    The social gospel?

The original scriptures are in Hebrew. Jesus quotes the scripture...in Hebrew that describes what He came to do. So then its better to go to the Hebrew in Is. 61:1. The writers of the NT translated the word "deror"...liberty as "aphesis". So we have to continue to translate that word in the same...

    The social gospel?

Holiness is on another level of justification...a higher righteousness. God doesn't judge the world by the standard of holiness....but on what they have done with what they have been given. Loving others as ourselves. On that level ALL the earth will be judged. Holiness is about walking as...

    The social gospel?

Jesus sacrificed Himself by entering the holy of holies...not the forgiveness of forgivenesses. Don't be fooled by the carnal agenda of the self-interested ones. The cross is about sanctification. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.

    The social gospel?

Behold always misrepresents what I say. When I invite him to seek for God it's for the higher walk. I assume everyone here is a believer. But we need to get sorted out. Better now than on judgment day. So the scriptures are profitable for instruction, reproof and even rebuke into a righteous...

    The social gospel?

Repentance is about our attitude. We change direction...return, repent towards God in both righteousness...the lower level and holiness...the higher level. In the higher repentance we get revival...being translated into the heavenly walk. But we can acknowledge our sinfulness like the Publican...

    The social gospel?

The sins that are past as the bible says. That's why the sin nature has to be crucified to CLEANSE from sin...not just keep forgiving a person for continual sins. You want to sweep it under the rug. Ignore it. But your sinful ego is the elephant in the room. False. Men put Jesus on the...

    The social gospel?

That's not the point of forgiveness. Poeple want God to overlook their sins...well He already does that. But sin is a SYMPTON of a bigger spiritual problem, that you are not addressing...or your cohorts are addressing. When a leper is healed...is the leprosy healed or just the skin cleared up...

    The social gospel?

The believers that say Lord, Lord, and are rejected as lawless....workers of iniquity... were they sanctified first or forgiven first? A person who is forgiven can still be dead in their sins. The problem isn't a lack of forgiveness...but the lack of grace which is the power over sin and the...

    The social gospel?

Exactly...about the second part. In a great house there are both vessels of honour and vessels of dishonour. I am showing how to avoid being cut-off or spit out. The wise will listen and depart from iniquity....the foolish ones will confidently strut into disaster.

    The social gospel?

You don't believe the gospel...and the liberation from sin...that Jesus came to liberate those in prison. You want amnesty to keep sinning and call that the gospel. You are comfortable in your sin.
