    YouTube problem

I posted a video link that didn't play the specific video. The link just went to the YouTube site itself.

Becoming a Grateful and Content Wife

Build up your man as a wife. Focus on the good in him. Otherwise, where will he get built up as a man? At his job? At his School? With his friends? In Movies and TV? Tell him what he does right and what he does well. Encourage him. Be the one that believes in him.

Becoming a Grateful and Content Wife

One trait my husband desires the most in me is whimsy or playfulness. You allow, rather than force whimsy. But it also comes from having enough discipline to do your duties well enough that you aren't too stressed for whimsy.

    Age of Accountability

Are you saying that between an individual's age of knowing good and evil there is a grace period until they turn 20?

Fitness, Health, and Beauty Goals Journal

I flavor the water with these electrolyte powders from a company called LMNT.

Fitness, Health, and Beauty Goals Journal

Weighed in at 196.4 today. Very close to a new low. A lot of my values and beliefs about confidence and discipline have changed since going on the carnivore diet and keto diet. I can now tell myself " x unhealthy food" will still be there when I meet my goal. I was able to deny myself...

    Learning about Orthodoxy

A lot of churches are now anti-works in theology. But this has led to a lack of charity towards the poor, lack of care for widows and orphans, huge buildings that feed and house no one. I'll never forget early in marriage having our rent and electric bill paid by a Catholic church. While Im...

    Learning about Orthodoxy

It's our study of the Word that has led to us seeing a lot of issues with modern church.

    Learning about Orthodoxy

Sure. He's leading my husband and I to question Protestantism and learn about the history of Christianity

    Learning about Orthodoxy

From the above site, I read, "The Orthodox Church has several safeguards in place to prevent any hermeneutical chaos from distorting or mutating the Christian Faith: the bishops, the Church Fathers, the Liturgy, the Ecumenical Councils, and the Nicene Creed. Thus, the Orthodox matrix paradigm...

    Learning about Orthodoxy

I think the study of Church history is a great way to avoid deception. A lot of the arguments against Eastern Orthodoxy Im reading here seem dependent on not knowing Church history or even what Orthodoxy is.

    Learning about Orthodoxy

Here is a quote from a Reddit post listing issues with Protestantism. I thought the Scripture he referenced was spot on to why I can't accept Sola Scriptura. " We should rely on our own personal interpretation of Scripture And we have the prophetic word made more sure. You will do well to...

    Learning about Orthodoxy

What if the early church worshipped this way? Having a Protestant background, it's easy to think that Christians always worshipped in modest and bare trappings with maybe a wooden Cross at the back. But it was the Protestant Reformation trying to reject Catholicism in the 16th that did away...

    Learning about Orthodoxy

So you're saying the minute Paul died the early church fathers became heretical? Orthodoxy was the first church. Catholicism split from that, then came Martin Luther and the five Solas. If heresy was introduced the moment Paul died, Protestantism is way downstream from that.

    Learning about Orthodoxy

I'm saying you can use God's Word  and measure the interpretation against the historical interpretation of the early church fathers. This prevents heresy and constant splintering of denominations due to people's private interpretation of Scripture.

    Learning about Orthodoxy

I don't believe in Sola Scriptura but that does not mean I don't measure everything against God's Word. What I specifically believe is that everybody's personal private interpretation of Scripture is not some perfect revelation. Most members here already agree with this to some extent...

    Learning about Orthodoxy

There is wisdom in being okay with solitude. That has been us for years now. It helped us grow in some ways. The difference for us in finding a church will definitely be their compliance with Scripture. I can't be Protestant at this point. I don't think Sola Scriptura is a divinely inspired...
