Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

I haven't been following the conversation, just happened to catch your post and thought you might have been referring to me or including me in one or two of your comments, so I responded to try and explain. Nobody is stopping David or anyone else from responding. Yes, as I was saying, there...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

To me "A-millenialism" seems like a misnomer......it's not that there is no millennial rule of Christ, it's that some of us believe we are in His millennial rule now, in this age. And speaking for myself, I don't ignore scriptures, but just that I often can't give an answer when I don't have a...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

As the bible says, the saints of old all died in faith, not having received the promises. They did not "see" the promises fulfilled to the end of their natural lives, yet continued to believe. Their faith was the evidence and substance of what they did not yet see but hoped for.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Faith IS the evidence of things NOT SEEN with the natural senses.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Faith is not blind.....it is spiritual sight. And it is not of our own, but of the Holy Spirit. Seeing and appreciating what God has created/creates can cause the heart to open up and seek Him, but faith still must come from Him, true..?...not from what He has created.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

You're reliance on the carnal mind is evident and that is why you don't understand things of the Spirit. We're to walk by faith (which is of the Spirit), not by sight. And this is why we also need to test the spirits. But there is no point discussing this with you.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Paul did not state the proof was in the unity.....that is false. He was simply exhorting the church to be of one mind in that 1 Cor 1:10 verse. I really don't quite know how to explain faith to you. Faith doesn't need "proof". And we can be going by faith and still make mistakes.....and...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

Greetings brother. I'm just trying some things on for size, to see if they fit. I don't believe a lot of what we have been hearing all our Christian lives about Revelation and eschatology is very correct. If we let God's word interpret itself, what does the bible say about the camp.......what...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Amen. Lucifer had come to mind...that was his downfall, and Eve's too. We are not to go beyond what is written, and the bible doesn't teach that we will be God.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Amen. It is wearying trying to talk to those who don't have ears to hear. Ears to hear comes not from the carnal mind which can't hear/perceive....it has to come from the Lord, from His Spirit.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Amen. And the wisdom of God seems like foolishness to the wisdom of men who can't perceive it.
  12. L

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

We know by faith, (which is of Spirit), not by the carnal mind. Though we only know in part.
  13. L

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Amen, but taken out of the man means to be born of His Spirit....born of His substance, which is spirit. But not equal to Him, as Jesus is when in the form of God. A wife/bride is subordinate to her Husband. The woman was made for the Man. All that we have and are is from Him, whereas only God...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Oh dear, I think great care needs to be taken not to overstate the case: Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. And just...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

As I said, the issue is about what/who we are relying on.....the carnal mind (enmity with God), or Him? And was the bible written for intellectuals and scholars? God has chosen the weak things. In our weakness His strength is made perfect.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

And we can test that John 1 passage itself to make sure it has been translated properly...........because it agrees perfectly with other scriptures that attest to the same thing it is saying.
  17. L

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Amen and amen! Think that's why Jesus said He IS the resurrection and the life.
  18. L

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

I don't know honestly. It comes to mind that Jesus didn't actually need to be baptized and receive the Holy Spirit, but only did it to fulfill all righteousness of the Law, and set an example for us.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Amen, and David said he didn't concern himself with matters that were too great for him. Sometimes there is a danger of getting ahead of the Lord too.....in His teaching and growing us up, it can be dangerous to be led by our curious minds of flesh to go down rabbit holes that are too deep for...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Thank you for yours, and I appreciate your kind demeanour. Speaking generally, sometimes in my observation I think we can be trying to splice and dice something too much....the natural mind is naturally curious and often tends to raise questions that don't need pursuing. That's what I think...
