    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Study in that verse you are speaking of is an older usage of that word which means "endeavour". It is not specifically instructing us to study His word with an intellectual (carnal minded) approach like a textbook.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Well, you are free to make what assumptions you will. One thing I understand about spirits, is to never stop testing them.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Full of rationalizing (carnal mind = enmity) Who does the OT say is Saviour? God. This is not rocket science and God's word wasn't given by Him in such a way that it needs to be dissected and examined under a microscope in order to be received. It is the Holy Spirit who opens His word to our...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Amen. Often times they can't see the forest for the trees. I believe there is a place for scholarship and it can be useful, however that is not the same as relying on it....our reliance/dependency needs to be on the Lord.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Because they are one. Where Jesus said "I and the Father are one". And it is through Christ that we come to the Father.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Afraid I don't understand you. God is spirit, is He not? I'm not talking about ghosts and goblins. Christ is risen and ascended to heaven....the bible says now we know Him not after the flesh any longer. He sent us His Spirit and He had to ascend to heaven in order for that to be done. Jhn...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

I don't know that I can answer that question categorically, and I hope I don't ramble too much here. I think sometimes the heart believes and knows what the natural mind doesn't yet know.....for anyone who is begotten of the Spirit and has the Spirit I would think that least their hearts must...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

We are to have the mind of Christ.....our minds need to be fed and illuminated by His Spirit (Tree of Life) to become the mind of Christ could we say?....not the Tree of dead carnal Knowledge. "Let this mind be in you, which also was in Christ Jesus....."

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

I just perceive the Lord working through our willingness. And He does everything possible to help us become and be willing, as we are His workmanship. When we were children we were under constraint and fear of punishment, yes, and our obedience was often reluctant and heel-dragging, but as we...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

The carnal mind is ENMITY with God, and can't perceive the things of God. I wonder then why many rely on it so much. They do so to their peril. The deity of Christ is revealed through many scriptures by the Holy Spirit.....even the old testament testifies as to Who Christ is. Our brains of...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Don't misunderstand me, I am not in any way trying to undermine the value and importance of living moral and ethical lives and of not sinning, etc, and the scriptures have many warnings and admonitions, exhortations about sin.......however, I'm not sure Jesus approached it as a "must". The only...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

If I may drop in with a few thoughts on this, sister.....to my understanding, this is really a matter of OUTWARD righteousness (which proceeds from self) versus INWARD righteousness (proceeds from the Spirit within). We serve in the new way of the SPIRIT now, not in the old way of a checklist...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Wow, that is an evil accusation. Are we supposed to be striving about words? I don't think God is worried overmuch about how we spell His name, as long as it is HE who we worship by HIS Spirit dwelling in us.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Only difference is, Jesus was "in the form of God" and "equal with God" (Phil 2:6) before He was begotten and born on earth. Were we? ...it would be blasphemous to think and teach so. And being found in the form of a man, He HUMBLED Himself....became subordinate to the Father as was fitting...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

God/Jesus/scripture are speaking in spirit, not two-dimensionally like we speak day to day about earthly things (and if the Lord gives a word through a human vessel they also are speaking in spirit). We're told to compare spiritual with spiritual in the scriptures....doesn't that TELL us the...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

The gospel had been preached to all the inhabited Gentile world of that era by 70AD had it not?....according to the epistles and the Rev letters to the seven churches. But after 70AD it went wholesale to the Gentiles and no longer to Israel because Israel no longer was. The faithful remnant of...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

I do not in any way reject the words of Christ, but we need to understand what He was saying in spirit, do we not? Needing ears to hear. I believe Jesus was talking to Israel FIRST, the the Gentile. "To the Jew first, then the Gentile" is from the mouth of God. There was a last day for Israel...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

Satan's little season will be at the end of the millennium , as we agree, except that I believe the millennium rule of Christ is now, this age......I don't know if Satan's little season spoken of is quite here yet, but these are at least the days leading up to it, I believe. The "nations"...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

I agree. However, what if these things occurred in the first century? What if the mystery of God was "finished" then..? What if Satan's little season is not connected to the false prophet and MOB of the first century, but is connected to the nations rising up in unity against the (true)...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

I suppose it depends on what one means by foundational. That the human race is sinful and that the Lord will return to ultimately judge for these things I agree is part of foundational truth. (As well as I believe the falling away is "as it was in the days of Noah" too....what should be a...
