I think you are seeing the difference between a bible follower and a Christ follower. One is by the deadness of the letter...the other by the prompting (newness) of the SPIRIT that gives LIFE.

In your scheme it is religious and foolish to follow Christ into selflessness ...but the way to God you see by following a carnal self-interest that promises much for nothing...carnality intact. Yep....you truly have your poles reversed. But who sees that? :ummm:

Are you claiming to walk in resurrection life? To walk as Jesus walked? Or are you looking for a religious formula that you can justify yourself with? The flesh is very tricky.

With so many leaving (escaping) the institutional religious system...you seem eager to join it. Are there no disciples where you are? Look for those who are living out their faith. Get baptized among them. :)
