Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

I see... lacking any actual response to what was said, you're just going to repeat yourself ad nauseum.

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Because it makes specific reference to Genesis and gives an explanation of it. I'm aware that the church-at-large doesn't agree on the meaning of Ezekiel 28. I haven't gone out of my way to explore every church's interpretation, instead preferring to rely on the oldest sources to the exclusion...

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

There isn't a good reason to assume that the Revelation is talking about Genesis. Ezekiel, on the other hand, makes specific reference to Genesis.

You're all over the place here. The serpent is a symbol of wisdom, not Satan. Satan is there in the garden, though. Ezekiel tells us who he is, even. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and...

Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

History: Our use of the seven-day week can be traced back to the Babylonians and the decree of King Sargon I of Akkad around 2300 BCE. What happens when history comes up with a different answer than the Bible? What happens when that history has empirical evidence backing it...

    The Seven Days of Creation

The idea in the OP is that the days are a poetic device. This isn't the day-age theory. It's the entire week that stands for some long indeterminate period.

    A paraphrase of Eph 1.1

I need qualifications to have an opinion? Well, I have been ordained (twice, ha!) and I have a business degree geared towards church management... and you shouldn't care about those at all. I sure don't. Of more use... I'm an old head at studying the Bible, and have sometimes endeavored to...

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Wrong. God granted Solomon wisdom, but it was still the wisdom of men. He did not act with the Mind of God Himself... if he had, he wouldn't have had 700 concubines, taxed Israel into poverty to such an extent that it ignited civil war after his death, or continued the worship of foreign...

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Most arguments from Ecclesiastes don't work (including this one), because Solomon's main idea in that book is that human wisdom fails. In support of this main idea, he gives many statements which are EXAMPLES of human wisdom. That is - they fail. In this chapter, I would point you to the...

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

I did read it. I didn't agree with it... but I did read it. If you looked up shamayim (heavens) in Strong's, you should know that it's the same word, whether talking about the earth's atmosphere, or space, or 'God's abode' as some like to say. There is no other word for any particular heaven...

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

The only honest answer is... I don't know. I don't believe in a "spiritual realm" as Auntie calls it. The heavens are the heavens... they exist in this plane of reality. One only needs to look up to see them. Whatever happened there, I believe it happened FOR REAL.

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Is this a trick question? The verse literally says he went into heaven: 2Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

    Tobacco

I don't know what half of those are, but my understanding of it is that it's the tar that is produced by burning tobacco that is carcinogenic. I don't know whether the chemicals can be absorbed through the cell walls, but certainly there are some oils that can penetrate cells. Perhaps some...

    A paraphrase of Eph 1.1

It reads a lot like the Amplified Bible... which unfortunately is a rather poor Bible.

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Moses went up Mt Nebo at the time of his death (Deu 34). Elijah went to Jericho, and then crossed over Jordan before ascending to heaven (2Ki 2). Should one look at a map, that puts him pretty close to... Mt Nebo. I have a sneaking suspicion I know on exactly which "high mountain" the...

Is it biblical? - What does that even mean?

That sounds like maybe a whole topic if you want to go into specifics. But it gives doctrine in areas where the Bible is either quiet or confusing... thanatology, eschatology, virtually everything people believe about giants... there are expansions on the stories in Genesis. It isn't...

    A God of Hate

No I don't agree. Also, "I AM your gods" does not imply polytheism when the parallel statement is "I AM one." You never even tried to reconcile those two, did you? The answer is NOT "the trinity."

    A God of Hate

Google transliterated instead of translating. To be fair, it's normative to transliterate names rather than translate them.

    A God of Hate

Virtually every Bible renders YHVH as "I AM..." just not consistently. Instead most Bible follow the Jewish practice of neither saying nor translating The Name. That doesn't mean it doesn't HAVE a translation or that it doesn't still mean the same thing everywhere.
