Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

I take that 2 Cor 5:19 verse to be a "statement of intent", like how marks put it. It applies to all who receive that as a gift, but not to those who repudiate the gift. We need to look at the whole counsel of God for "balance", by reconciling it all with the help of the Holy Spirit. For...

Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

His flesh, being flesh, was weak. Yet without sin. Yes but only because of the sins that were laid upon Him. He who knew no sin became sin for us. He being very God didn't need redemption, except for His body of flesh which needed to put on immortality to have eternal life.

Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

Haven't been following the whole conversation, but Jesus "had no sin" and "knew no sin".....so the sins He died to were not His, but the sins of mankind that had been laid upon Him. And He was made perfect too in that His body was redeemed through death, as ours will be also in the end. In...

Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

Jesus has paid the ransom for everyone, yes......but not everyone will accept it. The bible says only a remnant will be saved. Salvation is by faith. People can be forgiven but refuse to accept the forgiveness and thus remain unreconciled to God.

Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

He is a Jew who is a Jew inwardly...by becoming a new creation. Yes, commonwealth being a community of nations....sounds about right. Which all have been "freed" to join when we come to Christ, both Jew and Gentile. It's like how nations that were founded by Britain all belong to the British...

Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

A commonwealth is a grouping of nations. And the commonwealth of Israel that is being referred to is "the Israel of God", ie, believing Israel, not "Israel after the flesh." So we believing Gentiles of other nations have joined the commonwealth of the Israel of God. We Gentiles are unnatural...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

As I mentioned before, Peter was also singled out by Jesus and told to feed His lambs.....does that mean nobody else in the body of Christ feeds His lambs? The church is told to edify ITSELF in love. God gives what is good indeed, there is nothing wrong with what He pours out and gives to the...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Thank you for clarifying what you believe. I wasn't sure I understood some of the things you were saying, but now it is clear.

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

I agree. I do seem to see/observe a pattern setting up that is just like what the scriptures say about the end of this age. Times of the Gentiles will have an end. ok, now I understand where you're coming from, thanks.

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

The keys to the kingdom have been given to the whole church in general. Priesthood of all believers. And Christ is the invisible Head of His church, though like the wind we see the evidence of it, where He is not being quenched and where others are not trying to stand in His place (antichrist).

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Oh? Is that the disqualifier that scriptures teach? Funny....those same churches used to have the spirit and presence of God.

Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

Amen...it's only true for whosoever believes on Him. We cant' take that one verse and isolate it from the whole counsel of God as set out in other scriptures. I believe marks expressed that verse as being a "statement of intent", if I'm understanding him correctly. It has been accomplished...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

I was hoping to clarify and understand some of your beliefs better, but it's ok. But I gather you aren't agreeing with some of the "duality" of things that I was talking about then. The first clue for me was when I noticed how not only is the gospel to the Jew first, then the Gentile, but also...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Except that I think we must take Paul's words seriously and consider that things began going off course and being tainted by the flesh as soon as he was gone......I mean even while he was alive the church was embattled by false teachers/teachings which Paul was always having to fight and...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Amen. I'm looking at Ez.9 and how it is like Revelation 7. Angels holding back (restraining) the four winds of judgment...? His faithful ones being sealed/marked.....with His Spirit I believe. God's glory/Spirit departing the Temple around this time, so I think we can take it that His...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Amen, yes, I think you organized and explained it well. Do you have any comments on it?

Did Jesus remove all the sin from the world?

It isn't necessarily or entirely in a literal sense. I believe it means He is casting the remembrance of sins as far away as the east is from the west, into the sea of forgetfulness. In the sense of not counting one's sins against them. ie, forgiving them. Think we should take note of the...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Amen....I hear what you're saying. Things prophesied are sometimes conveying spiritual lessons, not always future history. Although some of it is future, because the Holy Spirit does show us things to come. How much of scripture is on a personal level and how much is corporate in a historical...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Only the Christ and Lamb of God was found worthy among men (being both God and man) to open the seals and both reveal and fulfill what was written. I wonder if the restrainer being taken away also means His Spirit will be given without restraint (without measure) to His faithful people in the...

Where do people get the spiritual authority?

Just want to add that we have the original apostles as well as Jesus with us today, through their teachings.......and the Holy Spirit. That God gives gifts to the church such as pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets, apostles and other gifts etc......in no way guarantees that they will be...
