The vast range of Greys between Black and White

Wow! Helen was right! I am very glad you came here... Common sense has been in short supply here for far too long.

    The Book of Revelation, Understood?

Did you, perhaps want to say a little more there?...…. (Some of us have been around a lot of years, don't forget. LOL)

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

I think a lot boils down to many people being afraid to admit they just don't know some things.... for fear they will label themselves as "less righteous and Holy" if they do not swear they have been "led into all knowledge" by the Holy Spirit.

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

So, how do you decide when to ignore some Scripture, yet build Doctrines on others?

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

This is interesting to me in more than one way. Early on in my instruction in Psychology, my primary mentor told me many things, but a kind of startling insight he imparted was that I probably would always have a hard time relating to the "real" world if I didn't get past my propensity for...

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

It especially struck me that it seems the city was built there, mainly, because of the potential for $ that would (and did) come from that particular location. Even today, the "feel good" Mega Churches are never built out in pleasant, quiet country settings, but rather in the centers of...

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

Maybe I'm expecting too much.... So here is some reading on the subject: First-century Laodicea sat astride two major trade routes. The first road ran from Rome eastward into Asia Minor, then beyond to Cilicia where Paul was born. At Derbe it split: One leg went to the south through Damascus...

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

I will not just give you the answer. Please spend a little time to learn what Laodicea was renowned for possessing in the higher countryside around it. OK? This is one of the ways we go SO wrong. We try to make 1st Century thinking fit things as we see them today. The letters weren't...

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

This requires that we know something about the location of the city. (As everyone back then did.)

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

In this case (because of the geographical location the city of Laodicea is known for), BOTH COLD and HOT were very desirable things God wanted His church to be.

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

What does "being hot" or "being cold" mean to you? (Consider the location of the city being spoken of... And remember that God actually desires for them to be either Cold or Hot.)

    The Book of Revelation, Understood?

I definitely DO NOT believe in that "Church Age" stuff. To me, that is "Defeatist Theology." (We might as well give up, and do nothing... because the Bible lied about Satan. He was not defeated by Christ at Calvary, and he is so strong and powerful that not a bit of the Holy Spirit working...

    The Book of Revelation, Understood?

Davy, you can't fight that Dispensationalism stuff until they open their eyes, and decide to study for themselves.... so there really is no point in trying.

Try this one: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d4/f8/77/d4f877846eb2620c5f7c045f7a48ec24.png Hit "Ctrl" and the "plus" sign several times after you open it. (Hit it more if you need to in order to get it as large as you want, and you can "scroll" at the bottom and at the right side to see all of...

The vast range of Greys between Black and White

I feel that to live for only the Black or the White of life, is to largely miss God. It is also my opinion that many of us totally misunderstand the "lukewarm" words. (Why in the world would God ever prefer us to be Cold in our understanding or delivery of His Word?)

    The Book of Revelation, Understood?

Just keeping us straight that "Shalom" is a Greeting or a Salutation meaning, essentially, "Peace"..... not a woman's name.
