    What are we doing here?

    Lol. Did I say that?

    What are we doing here?

So why am I here? To be a brake light. To make people stop or pause and think. I can't force anyone to detour, dodge, redirect, or U-turn. That's up to them. I simply want people to think. And too many don't.

    What are we doing here?

Mmm. This tired old world has bits not only wearing out, but falling off. The Earth's stresses becomes our own, and we eventually end up one with it. But praise God for the hope of a new life at the resurrection. Not far off methinks.

Your reply encapsulates the very essence as to why people will not "hear" what you have to say.

Hi Helen. Wonderful to see you are still alive and kicking.

Reader Poll - Would you be a Christian if there was no afterlife?

I've already lived as if there were no after life. It was miserable. Lonely. Selfish. Unsatisfying. Superficial. No comparison with today. I know Jesus. Living my best life.

Interesting. This is precisely what seventh Day Adventists have been teaching would take place since the late 1800s. I notice you say "a" Sabbath day. Guess which day the church will choose as it's Sabbath. And who will be at the forefront of promoting such a scenario where "all the world will...

I appreciate a few things about language. It changes. Over the centuries certain words and expressions have taken on new meaning. Some examples...gay, sick, kicks, to name a very few. I have a question. When did the word fulfil change its meaning to cancel, remove, expunge etc when applied to...

Is this possible? Could it be that there may be, in these last days, a "Christian" religion that will take the world by storm attracting many millions into her fold while all the while being an apostate or false religion? Will the majority of people on this planet be sucked into her lies and...

Mmmm. But you have decided that the 4th commandment in the Decalogue written by Jesus own finger in stone is one bridge too far.

Just thinking about that episode. While it is true that Agabus warned Paul as to what awaited him in Jerusalem, he didn't say to Paul, "in the name of the Lord, don't go". The Lord may indeed have sent the prophet to inform Paul as to what to expect, but still left it up to Paul to choose at...

Just wanted to say...I met Carl personally a couple of weeks ago. Spent a couple of very enjoyable hours chatting and sharing our individual testimonies. A very blessed day it was.

Quote..."The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty" I have need for you David. The Sabbath isn't the only test on loyalty in a world bent on idolatry and false worship. Read the following and see how many other tests there are to loyalty to Jesus. “31 When the Son of man shall come in his...

That would be great. But the distance between Melbourne and the Daintree isn't inconsiderable. Not so sure about my last post. Courage? Or reckless? Either way, there's dust in the wind. Over talking to people who haven't ears to hear.

    Interesting that Paul wasn't released.

I just deleted a long response I had for @David in NJ , and removed 3 selected quotes from @PS95 and deleted some comments. Not because I felt I was wrong, or unsure, not because I had changed my stance. No. I deleted them all because I realised something. The more you guys respond, and I...

There are two women pictured in Revelation as being representative of opposing forces. If you are going to take Babylon the Great as literal, then you will have to take the woman of Revelation 12 as literal also. Thing is this. Both women have an abundance of characteristics and specific details...

Yes, and it has been explained ad nauseum why. But you aren't listening. When the subject comes up, you and others here become antagonistic and begin challenging our reasoning, make slanderous accusations regarding our motives, all based on nothing more than your own imagination, because not one...

Why do you not accuse me of attempting to earn my salvation by resisting the temptation to get angry with crazy motorists who cut me off on the highway? And therefore not murder them? We do you not accuse me of attempting to earn my salvation by resisting the temptation to lust after the...
