    A Reasonable Faith

Please excuse my ignorance but it seems to me the adaptation process are preexistant within the DNA of these organisms, hence the ability for repeatability. Again, maybe due to my ignorance, but the information seems to be coded or programmed if you will in the DNA prior to adaptation.

    A Reasonable Faith

I am sorry, but how do these examples refute the argument of information and the necessity of a person as the source of information? Also how do these examples explain how we chemically achieve proteins? And finally how are we certain these particular "evolving" processes didn't already exist...

The ever changing forked tongue theory of evolution

And here is the kicker of it all, you say I am the one jumping back and fourth between science and theology...! In all fairness we never took the time to define our terms, all in good fun my friend. I gather your concept behind your point. From my consideration of "evolutionists" the term is...

The ever changing forked tongue theory of evolution

Your point is it is absurd to assign a theological position to "evolutionists". Then you say "evolutionists" can be "fill in the religion". Is that not then "assigning a theological position"? Again if you as an evolutionist adopt the notin of a creator, then you have assigned a theological...

The ever changing forked tongue theory of evolution

It is interesting because in a sense you are stating that truly a scientist cannot be a Christian, because to look through the worldview of science God cannot come into the picture. IOW all scientists must don an atheistic worldview otherwise it is not science because it is absurd to assign any...

The ever changing forked tongue theory of evolution

I am uncertain if you are catching your own inconsistency here...you claim to be a believer in evolution...you claim to be a believer in creationism...then you say I shouldn't mix theology with science??? Wow!

The ever changing forked tongue theory of evolution

There is a point where science, philosophy, and theology converge...this is the point of creation and a valid topic in this thread. If it is you want to omit theology altogether, then state you are atheistic, otherwise deal with the consequences of your position. So then the question begs, in...

The ever changing forked tongue theory of evolution

I wonder if evolutionists ever notice how heavily they rely on the biblical account, sneaking Christianity in the back door if you will. I have also noticed some evolutionists want to take both sides...hedge their bets so to say. God created then used evolution as the creation process. I guess...

Salvation by Grace through faith alone

1 John 4:15-18 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has bfor us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with...

We can only hate things and concepts.

I agree. Within the context it is important to discern what the text ment to the original audience and author. This is why culture and history is actually apportioned to the context. Words only take on meaning within their context. We understand what a word means to us now in our time, yet what...

We can only hate things and concepts.

For the parable...No scholar of the text would agree that Jesus was saying those who have mercy are the only people qualified to be your neighbor. That is a twisting of the parable. You are attempting to justify your position of hate. שׂנא śnʾ to hate; to scorn, decrease in status; (pt.)...

    Biblical literalism correlates with anti-science

I tend to agree with the OP. I do know from witnessing discussions RJ has many who posses opposing views tend to get ugly in their responses. I have also viewed this topic from both sides, and have witnessed an almost paranoid view of science along with what I perceive as blatant tampering...

We can only hate things and concepts.

The translation issue for the word "hate" in the Greek...if you care to investigate the original Greek and look to what the scholars say then you would understand what I convey. Jesus did not redefine neighbor, that is your misinterpretation and eisegesis of the text....given the context of...

We can only hate things and concepts.

Hate in your heart for another person fosters vile thoughts, words, and deeds. God does not hate people. In the case of Esau, the better translation would be "loved less". Your neighbor is the person, city, or nation next to you no matter their creed, religion, race, or relation. This is...

    Religion is painful!

1 John 3:23 23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. This is Christianity fundamentals! This is the beginning and the end of it all. This is our task set before us as individuals and our task set...
