    What do women want most?

This is taken from the new american commentary... Although sexual “desire” conforms to v. 15, better is the explanation suggested by Gen 4:7b, where “desire” and “rule” [māšal] are found again in tandem: “It desires to have you, but you must master [māšal] it.” In chap. 4 “sin” is like an...

    What do women want most?

Interesting about the book you read... Two biblical concepts can be brought fourth regarding your question. First off from Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And...

Are WE as Christians a new creation or is it Christianity?

Sorry I can not provide a "link" to the quotes they are books from my personal library, this is why I cited the sources. Again I disagree with your assessment that when we are born again we are not new, and Scripture seems to agree with me. Galatians 6:15 For neither is circumcision anything...

Are WE as Christians a new creation or is it Christianity?

In post #16 I show supporting Scripture of a new creation. This is given through the context of the verse, and supporting Scripture with the language "born again". If by being born again you feel you remain the old creation please give your supporting Scriptures and explain your view. Your...

    Love?

Jesus showed love like no other... 1 John 2:22 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. The whip Jesus used was for driving the animals out of the temple not the people, the rebukes or what you call "insults" were given to...

Are WE as Christians a new creation or is it Christianity?

ωστε ει τις εν Χριστω καινη κτισις τα αρχαια παρηλθεν This is what the Greek says... Looking to the text literally it would say "If anyone in Christ a new creation, the old things passed away" I like what the NASB says because it coincides with the whole of Scripture. Truly translations are...

    Love?

Luke 10:36-37 “Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers’ hands?” 37And he said, “The one who showed mercy toward him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do the same.” So in the context the lawyer asked the question "who is my neighbor". Here...

Are WE as Christians a new creation or is it Christianity?

I do know and understand the context of Mark 2... In direct responce to the question of fasting Jesus ends by saying. But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast. It is next that the parables are given exclaiming and describing the...

Are WE as Christians a new creation or is it Christianity?

Mark 2:22 "No one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins." I see the new wine as Christianity and fresh wineskins as Christians. Both are new.

What happens when a few fanatics force their beliefs on others..

I would say I both agree and disagree with you here. Evil does not justify evil. Murder is unacceptable. Yet if we look into the history of the nation people of Israel, we do see them plagued with idolatry. God looked with favor those kings who removed the "high places" and Asherah poles...

What happens when a few fanatics force their beliefs on others..

We also have the same thing happening throughout Africa, Asia, and the Middle East from the Muslims. The question goes to method. In this day and age it is deemed unacceptable to use the same forceful tactics. Yet I would rather see the world worshipping the one true Living God, as opposed to...

What happens when a few fanatics force their beliefs on others..

I see nothing shameful in the removing of pagan temples nor of the discontinuing of homosexual marriage authorized. This seems to prove the Church once gaining political influence has stood against gay marriage from its inception. I do not agree with the suppression of knowledge. This is a...

How important is it to agree with other Christians?

It is not important at all until you disagree with me! J/K Unity strengthens the Universal Church, and in such we all agree. It is the minor issues where we disagree, and I do not see any end this side of Heaven to our personal or corporate persuasions. The issue comes to a head when we...

Dear Church, Here’s Why People Are REALLY Leaving You

When church is a business these issues surface. When Church is the Body of Christ these issues dissolve. Too often the focus is on "doing" church as opposed to "being" the Church. Once we focus on Him and His will in our everyday lives as a unified Body, the numbers will not invoke any true...

    Love?

So according to this suicide bombers are some of the most loving people. Just want you to think, not trying to pick on you... You have said what love does, not what it is. Dig deeper. Is love an emotion, or something more? Is love something imagined or is it real? Is love only something...

Is love a work? What if God had mercy upon those who love Him?

Wether or not love is a work depends on the motivation for loving. If you love as a means for salvation, then yes it is a work. Loving out of the motivation of love is not a work. God loves because that is His nature, for Him love is never a work.
