How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Sort of. But the human mind can't fathom the ways of God. So you can't make it so cut and dried. Heb. 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Very few here have any depth of...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

No I teach the doctrine of Christ....which differs greatly from "reformed theology." People who have been spoiled by an anemic doctrine that covers up the flesh are unable to hear a sound apostolic doctrine. Are you a Calvinist?

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

The root is in people interpreting the bible for themselves...Luther (and other "reformists") opened up a Pandora's box of endless divisions and deviations from the truth.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Dispensationalism is a way to have non-spiritual people read the bible and say...that's for someone else. :) The same goes for Cessationists. Their reasoning is...I don't have any spiritual gifts or spiritual life...so then no one else can have it either. These are basically our modern...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You are rich. Someone who is both a cessationist and a dispensationalist...has no use for the words of Jesus since you see them as "obsolete" and meant only for Jews. Just how hypocritical can you be? There is no limit with this one. I have a very high regard for the words of God...but even...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You want convoluted and twisted...just lookup John MacArthur and listen to his "bible mindset" That's how far things have degraded to.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Your talent is being wasted here. Why not go preach to your classmates? Or go on the street and say the things you say here? Be bold. Don't be a hypocrite. Don't be afraid. Go to where a real faith is tried and proven. The sinners need to hear the simple low-resolution message of the gospel. Who...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

“And when you pray (or virtue-signal) , you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray (and spew dogmatic slogans) standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. Enjoy the benefits of your...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Children in evil doing, yes. Children in having faith beyond our own experience, yes. We are not to be children in understanding. Perhaps you missed that sermon?? 1 Cor. 14:20 “Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.” What...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

A child IS seeing it. You are reading it the way you want to. I see you as a child of sorts. No one has PM'ed me as to your psychological condition...so I have to assume you have some kind of functioning faculties. What I see in you is a stunted growth. You behave like a new believer who...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Reducing the truth to a dogma that can be accepted by an unconverted soul is the province of religion. You have fallen for a religious representation of Christianity...to the point where you deny the power of the cross and the resurrection life of Christ. To you, Jesus is still on the cross...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

When you are so uncareful in your reading...and are so quick to jump to conclusions...how are you going to be able to weigh the mysteries of God (for those who have not experienced resurrection life)? Would someone as passive-aggressive as yourself understand what being born again even means...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I see you are continuing to champion the outer man both in yourself, and others...as expected. The truth barely makes a dent in your false religious covering. Continue to take counsel of one another. Is. 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Truly its the world upside down with many here. See, I didn't say "all". I know the difference between many and all. I can't say that MANY do!

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You are interpreting the meaning away from the verses. You are assuming that being "in" Christ is the equivalent of those who have begun in the Spirit. But the bible refutes that premise. Not all who begin a race finish well. So you are imposing your "idee fixe" of being born again...and...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You lie of course. You have to, to have any case against me. I said that YOU treat Jesus as your whipping boy. Look it up. And YOU are only in it for the free stuff. I know the cross personally as the power over sin. You, on the other hand, can only point to a cross AS you sin. That being...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You do realize that Pauline is not mentioned in the bible. It's funny that Christ's teaching is right there in the gospels ...but you are able to ignore it and actually contradict it. Don't forget my book. Check it out... I actually got a professional review recently from a world renowned...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Your error is based on a myopic viewpoint based on a misunderstanding of what Paul is saying. What many here possess is based on a preconceived ideological premise that is easily refuted by a deeper study. You are reading back your own image through the mirror that is the word. While you try...
