How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

"Some things are believed because they are demonstrably true, but many other things are believed simply because they have been asserted repeatedly." Thomas Sowell My "theology" is based on a very deep study of the bible (which people have only skimmed through) and by the living God who backed...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You put yourself in the place of God. Look at your avatar. You have a messiah complex....but you are not Jesus. You are not God. You are a confused and lost soul.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

This is a major mess..conflating different resurrections and obscuring the different destinies. You need to actually understand what you are jumbling together. I know I'm wasting my time trying to get you to understand anything...but to others I will show how a more careful reading reveals the 4...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

This is a false duality. Just because you have been indoctrinated in no way makes me unique. This is a reflection on your lack. I'm simply not involved with the indoctrinating scheme you have fallen for. Let's see how "well versed" you really are. I must add "simplistic" to your dogmatic...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

"One cannot predict, much less forestall all the clever misinterpretations that others might put on one's words. The most that can be done is to alert honest people to the problem." Thomas Sowell

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

The pot calling the kettle. No one here would mistake your fleshly antics with someone who had a "Christophany" unless it was a delusion that offered you life in your sin.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Your understanding is very shallow. Once you get over your opinion....realize that the NT is written in Greek....not Hebrew. But that's just the beginning of your errors. Jesus is making a comparison...that takes people beyond what is doing right in a temporal way. Being spiritual in Christ...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

That's unbiblical. You are not providing any verses to support your error. I use scripture to prove what I say. You respond as any unbeliever would. No support beyond your opinion. And you expect your cohorts to agree with you and support your flesh? Hope this helps! next...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

You are missing the distinction between doing what is right in a temporal perspective and being a disciple of Christ. These would seem to be at odds with each other...until you realize that they are in completely different categories. Notice this... Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Exactly. :) Was the "good" Samaritan a saint? or did he simply (but righteously) care for others as himself? The saint must hate his wife, mother, father , brother, sister... in comparison to Christ. There is NO indicator that to love one's neighbour one must love the Lord more. The saint...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Notice how the shallow soil gets offended at the truth. The superficial nature of the modern gospel has spoiled people from being able to tolerate sound doctrine. The gospel has been watered down to such an extent where the truth is mocked...and lies are upheld. Truly we are experiencing the...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I know why the truth contained in the bible seems nonsensical to you. Do you?

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

If you could read the bible from a non-religiously indoctrinated perspective, you would see that there are ALWAYS the four being cited. It begins in Genesis 2 with the 4 rivers that flow out of the garden...all the way to Rev. 22:11. If you were a little more perceptive you wouldn't mock at the...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

This is rich. Well, nothing they mentioned in Sunday school...that's for sure. I suppose this lack of knowledge leads you to condemn people who are not condemned and champion people who are such. There are 4 eternal destines for people not two. The immature will react to this as it doesn't fit...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

We must be born again to be saved from sin. Yes, Jesus came to take away the sins of the world. That's right. We reap what we sow. The wages of sin is death. I understand your American version of being born again. I just don't think it is according to the truth. I believe it is based on...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I never seek to push anyone in a religious way. I avoid dogmatic presumptions like the plague. The important thing is to keep the main things the main things. It's important to love others as ourselves...to be humble, to fear the Lord. I think pushing a spiritual status on people is self-defeating.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Again, bless you. I know that there are those who will hear the the truth from the inner person of the heart...in spite of al the noisy static that is produced by religious assumptions and presumptions that tries to negate the wisdom and logic of the biblical narrative.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

For those who struggle with what it means to be born again...and who feel they must claim to be so to be saved. That which is born of the flesh is flesh. If we are physically alive we normally have the temporal faculties to navigate our way through the physical world. We are present and...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Put your indoctrination aside for one second...and answer this. Born again for what??? We must do many things. We must take the garbage out. If we don't we will be overrun with vermin and the place will stink. Will we go to hell? No. We must brush our teeth. If we don't we might get tooth...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Yes. Agreed. But just because a role is available doesn't mean we have to be the one who plays it. Just because the truth needs to be shut down doesn't mean we need to be the one who volunteers to do it. Many spirits have gone out into the world. We don't have to accommodate any of them...save...
