Can we raise the dead today through the Holy Spirit?

I am not sure what the pastor ment. I do believe God can raise the dead still to this day in a physical way and spiritual way.

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

An ancient heresy of the distinction between two types of Christians, carnal and Spirit-filled, is the heresy of perfectionism. Perfectionism teaches that there is a class of Christians who achieve moral perfection in this life. To be sure, credit is given to the Holy Spirit as the agent who...

Does one need to study the bible?

So what you are telling me is because what was being taught to you agreed with the Bible, you knew it was proper teaching. Then though according to your OP you say one does not need to read the Bible. If you used the Bible as the measure of what was being taught to you why would you say others...

Does one need to study the bible?

And here you said Jesus told you not to read the Bible specifically...all the other posts are inferences My first year of God personally teaching me, Jesus did not have me read the bible. If the bible was read at all, it was to just confirm what Jesus was teaching me.

Does one need to study the bible?

Okay here is another quote by you... Study the bible after God starts to teach him or her. No I don’t believe one needs to do that. God will have one read or do what he or she needs to do to come to know God. If the Holy Spirit wants one to have a great knowledge of the written Word of God...

Does one need to study the bible?

The Holy Spirit began to teach me. Then Jesus called me into his ministry. After accepting Jesus call I asked him what seminary to attend. Jesus told me: “NO! Don’t read about me I will teach you about me.” This is your quote... Also I have witnessed your sin in your postings on this forum.

Does one need to study the bible?

How do you know it is Jesus the Christ you are listening to, especially when he tells you not to read the revealed word of God? Perhaps this one teaching you teaches contrary to the Scriptures.

    1John 3:5-6

I don't conprehend why it has to be an either or position. Are we called to be moral? Yes! Are we deemed righteous through faith in Christ? Yes! Does it have to be one or the other? No! Also I think it is relevant to understand what to be holy Scripturally is...to be set apart for God's...

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

So according to you Scripture was wrong at first then needed to be corrected? Here is an idea, maybe Scripture isn't wrong you are. I also do not see contradictions in those other verses from my interpretation. Also the Indwelling of the devil doctrine is completely false. First off the...

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

Your cut and paste response says nothing relevant... John makes two points in his letter, the second point does not disqualify the first... In other words 1John 8 is its own point whereas 1John 10 is its own point, not one that disqualifies the first point.

    1John 3:5-6

No one disagrees with these verses. Nor do we think we are not called to live righteously. This thread seeks to gather a greater understanding of a certain text. Please feel free to give input to this verse in particular.

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

Christians do not deliberately sin. This text does not say the devil lives in the one who sins... Scripture teaches the Holy Spirit indwells the believer upon belief. You teach a false doctrine. You are a sinner. James 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as...

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

Again this is what Johnlove teaches, but not the Scriptures...a gospel of works.

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

This speaks nothing to you contradicting Scripture...

    1John 3:5-6

3:5–6. The seriousness of sin is further underscored by the consideration that Christ appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin. The Incarnation brought into the world the One who is totally sinless and who had as an objective the removal of sin from the lives of His own...

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

A straw man argument. I have no idea of what you are saying I taught. If this post is directed to me it is a straw man argument. Because I never said any such thing. Johnlove you contradict yourself here in this post twice... You make the separation between spiritual Christians and...

Does one need to study the bible?

Romans 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

No one disagrees that we are encouraged to not sin. All who are Christ's do walk as He walked. All who are Christ's do avoid sin. All who are God's children have His seed and His Spirit. Where we disagree is when you say if one sins they immediately lose salvation. This simply is not...

Do you believe Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit?

There is only One begotten Son of God...Jesus the Christ John called those "his children" not because they are unspiritual but because he is the Bishop or Overseer of the region that received the letter. This phrase given in the same letter supports my case. 25 This is the promise which He...
