    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

Typo. I fixed it. Jesus is returning with His saints - not mansions.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

Jeff, John 14: 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

Jeff, I think "coming back" in John 14:3 is not referring to Jesus's Second Coming. okay, this where we are disagreeing. I don't think "second time" in that verse is referring to Jesus's Second Coming (to end the great tribulation), but for the rapture before the great tribulation takes...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

Jesus did not call His coming in that verse - coming a second time. ....but Hebrew 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. I think where we are disagreeing, maybe, is over the term...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

Jeff, the bible does not call Jesus's coming for the rapture/resurrection in 1Thessalonians4:13-18 - as coming a second time.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

When you were going to grade school, and the teacher asked you... "what does 2 + 2 = ". And you responded with "5". Did your teacher say - "You are being deceptive. You lie ! You are a liar ! " ? No, your teacher did not respond that way. So stop with that sort of hateful...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

No, Matthew 24:31 is the final gathering of the Jews from around the world to the land of Israel. Jesus was referring to what God promised to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 30:4-6. 4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

okay, you are amil. That's another topic. Back to this thread's topic.... What is your rationale that the rapture/resurrection of 1Thessalonians4:15-18 cannot happen pre-70th week (what pre-tribbers call pre-trib) ? I am not asking that the rapture/resurrection must happen pre-70th week...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

The start of Revelation 5 and Revelation 6 does not indicate any sort of vision of Jesus opening the seals sometime in the future, but live action taking place. Jesus taking the book and opening the seals as everyone present there in heaven watched.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

I think what you meant to say is that none of the events of the 7 seals have begun yet. All of the 7 seals were opened by Jesus as John and them in heaven watched , so that everyone would know what is in the book.

    When was the A.O.D fulfilled?

Actually, I think a person could apply that "man is a soul" and that "man has a soul". Depending on the circumstance which the term "soul" is being used. man has a soul... Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a...

What are the two witnesses doing with the prostitute?

Your question is flawed, wrongly presumptuos. Jerusalem is not the woman turned prostitute of Revelation 17. That woman sits on many waters, Revelation 17: 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues...

What are the two witnesses doing with the prostitute?

The scriptures say the same hour there was an earthquake. Not as the two witnesses were ascending. If the earthquake took place first - then the scriptures would have had the earthquake verse before the two witnesses ascend. Your question is flawed.

What are the two witnesses doing with the prostitute?

The two witnesses come back to life and then ascend up into a cloud, and in the cloud are taken to heaven. The earthquake does not happen at that moment, but later, not much later, within the same hour. So their ascent to heaven is not accompanied by an earthquake - but later is followed by an...

    When was the A.O.D fulfilled?

Jay, yes, that is what you are doing - giving your opinion - rather than on what the scriptures actually states.

    When was the A.O.D fulfilled?

Hi grafted branch, I think Isaiah 60:20 is referring to the time following Jesus's return. There is a similar passage in Zechariah 14.... Zechariah 14: 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the...

    When was the A.O.D fulfilled?

It is disappointing to see so many replies to posts on this forum not addressing the content of the posts - and instead are making general degrading remarks directed at the posters.

What are the two witnesses doing with the prostitute?

The two witnesses in Revelation 11 are Jesus's two witnesses. 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. -------------------------------------------------- Jerusalem is not the woman turned...

    When was the A.O.D fulfilled?

Jay, you wrote... "If we consider what is said in this verse, we can paraphrase it as saying, "If the ordinances of this renewed covenant departs from the nation of Israel before the end of the seventh age then they shall cease being a nation before me during the age of eternity." 1. it is...

    When was the A.O.D fulfilled?

Hi Jay, You were referring to Jeremiah 31:35-36. 35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances...
