    Why The Cross?

    Good one Mike! :)

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Do you believe that all have sinned? What is missing here is God's mercy. God forgives sin...He banishes sin so that a person's slate becomes clean. A baby is a wonderful creation. But left to themselves they would become filthy. So then diaper changes are needed. When the baby is clean and...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

@marks said. Imputing IS to recognize something true or else is based on a religious lie...or as the bible calls it..fables. ;)

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

@marks said... That's religious reasoning foreign to the bible. Nobody is imputed circumcision. In the natural a knife is used....and there's actual blood. In the Spirit the circumcision is spiritual so that a new life and power are IMPARTED (not imputed). Sort of....People don't fulfill the...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

@Wrangler said When we quote the bible...we are quoting the original idea of another person...in this case Paul. Mark misused the verse because he latched onto a word that he then used erroneously to match his own idea....which is not biblical. There's a LOT of that going on. How is that being...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

LOL. You did exactly that by ignoring everything I posted...which I tried to do without having to correct you too much. I thought you would see what Paul was saying without need for further correction. But ...I tried... The "circumcision" is Israel. The "uncircumcision" is the Gentiles. Those...

what is the high calling of God?

This is true. The reason is to test us and train us for God's kingdom....and for rejection of those who don't measure up. No believer will see hell. The judgment of believers is not according to the condemnation of the world. The judgment of the house of God is akin to Yom Kippur. The...

Jesus's Explanation of Grace in it's Nature and Effects.

Yes. :) God's kindness extends to empowring us by His Spirit. God is also the God of the Old Covenant. He is merciful....but also vengeful against those who trample His holiness. God will show mercy on the poor and humble of this world come judgment day. But He will go hard on the religious...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

That's for sure. I would say most... This is about doers of the law being justified. What does it matter the state of the flesh if the law is being fulfilled? This speaks to the Gentiles who are not following the law of Moses but yet are justified by faith. But not just any faith...the faith...

    I Like This Man

Are you suggesting that the Bible was written in a "foreign" language? ;)

Jesus's Explanation of Grace in it's Nature and Effects.

That's human grace. Not God's grace. We can do some things with human strength...but nothing on the eternal scale. Only through God's grace are we empowered in a way that makes us bear eternal fruit. Otherwise we are still playing in the puddles of human interactions.

Jesus's Explanation of Grace in it's Nature and Effects.

You are saying that a cop that lets you go based on mercy is smarter than the one who charges you and then pays for the ticket himself. That isn't how grace works. Grace (NT grace) is the power from God to fulfill the commandments. To walk as Jesus walked.

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Sure...but you are assuming that the template is enough to fill itself. The template is there as a vessel in shape of Christ...but we still need to be filled up....filled with the Spirit. And we are not learning as Jesus did. Jesus was learning how to be human. We are being readied to carry the...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Whether the ego is complaining about a challenge to an assumed righteousness on God's level...or used for an attack on the rightness of what I teach as being too "mystical" or too "God-complexy" ....I still hold out hope that some will read this thread to some benefit. :) The real issue is...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

You are too funny! The Bible was written in the language it was conveying the thoughts in. Where does it say that rich spoiled Westerners don't have to love God's words enough to read them properly? David said...O Lord...how I love your instruction... Instead we might say...O King James how...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Exactly? That's how I feel about your intrusions here. That's why I try to stick mostly to my own threads. I find the premise of so much religious thinking is erroneous from its inception. I am close to putting you on ignore...as you have abee in your bonnet...and have not once written...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

See! because I say that I'm speaking of what I know...you call that a God complex. But that is your ignorance of God's way with people talking. You shouldn't trust ANYONE that speaks for God then. You should throw out your bible since it was written by men. And predictably right here you will...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

A speck? Oh my...I'm trying to deal with your ignorance here. You are ignorant on many levels....as you wish for us to know, and me in particular. Why? I don't get your motivation..knocking me down? Making my words less true? It's a silly notion. If you throw garbage at me...I will identify it...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

I think you are evaluating human opinion...as humble as it may seem...to be on a par with the revelation of God. Again, if I didn't know anything besides what I read and formulated in my own mind...then I could appear as humble to you...but I am speaking of what I know and experienced. if...
