Are The Laws Done Away With?

Here is a very small segment of the "Law." Is there anyone here who feels these should be ignored or cast aside? To love all human beings who are of the covenant (Lev. 19:18) (CCA60). See Love and Brotherhood. Not to stand by idly when a human life is in danger (Lev. 19:16) (CCN82). See Love...

Are The Laws Done Away With?

I'm not the least bit Calvinistic, but I do lean heavily toward Christian Reconstructionism. I think they have doctrine that more closely follows what God expects of us than any other denomination. And that means I believe following many of the laws is still God's desire for man.

    Know what this means???

I just thought I would give you another little taste of how Calvin viewed himself in writing these books for the rest of us. (Frankly, I might have slapped the arrogant SOB up 'side the head if I had ever met him.) "In order that my Readers may be the better able to profit by the present work...

Are we commanded to study the Bible?

So few people seem to grasp that …. "We don't HAVE to, we GET to!" The poor pitiful things only search for places we are COMMANDED to do things.

Are The Laws Done Away With?

Wouldn't it be simpler to just open the Bible, and see what it says about that...… especially Jesus' own words?

Yeah, I see he confused you, too. LOL

    Life in the millennial kingdom

I think you understood exactly what I wrote. Why not worship "donkeys", they are spoken of many more times?

    Life in the millennial kingdom

The idiocy of attempting to build a "doctrine" upon something that happens to be mentioned only one single time in the entire Bible is staggering.

    Radical Democrats

I wonder if that post might make sense if there wasn't the " 't " added?

    Know what this means???

I've had the books for quite some time. And, even as much as I love to read, I have to admit that I have tried (unsuccessfully) to wade through the volume on at least six different occasions.

    Know what this means???

“He alone is a fit witness to himself who is known only by himself.” This knowledge, then, if we would leave to God, we must conceive of him as he has made himself known, and in our inquiries make application to no other quarter than his word. On this subject we have five homilies of...

How do you let people know you’re a Christian?

Should you have to point it out?

    Self-Awareness

Humm………. "While we were YET (still) sinners (and sinning)...…….." I wonder if THAT ONE means anything, either?

    Self-Awareness

When, from the cross, Jesus asked His Father to "forgive them" (those who were not repenting of the act of murdering Him... that they were in the midst of committing at that very moment)………. What did that request mean?

Thanks for asking. I am now on my fourth pain killer (also doing nothing much to help), and I can hardly see straight due to the leg cramping. But, it is interestingly like being drunk all the time. LOL

Is there even one person here who is going to try to claim that they have not made presumptions about other posters because of their inadequate or careless handling of the English language? (I'd be a little suspect of just how truthful you might be in other areas. LOL)

I think you already know from job interviews, that "YES", your presentation of almost anything reflects upon how your future performance in other areas will probably be.

I wrote "No", but it could be "now" if you want. (I was careless in not using a comma.)

If someone is going to claim they are accurately telling me what the Bible says, I DO expect them to at least remember basic third-grade English. Otherwise, I have to assume they are just as careless in explaining the Bible.

Sort of...…….…. No just go change the "your" to "you're."
