My new book is out! "The Sum of All Possibilities in Christ"

Here we see what quiet thinking is all about! :)

My new book is out! "The Sum of All Possibilities in Christ"

One of the main purposes of the book is to show the full range of what is possible in Christ. The Bible gives us that range...God is not holding out on us. He is not hiding the possibilities...He is both informing us and warning us. People are taught that to be "saved" is all there is to it...

My new book is out! "The Sum of All Possibilities in Christ"

Reading a bible verse out of context doesn't feed a hungry person or clothe the naked. No one can eat a bible or put on a book to ward off the cold.

My new book is out! "The Sum of All Possibilities in Christ"

The law doesn't specify which to give if there is a quality distinction. I think it has to do with keeping another person warm. Since we are able to give away our least favourite coat...or else our favourite coat...we see that there is being able to go beyond the letter of the law in blessing...

My new book is out! "The Sum of All Possibilities in Christ"

To be sure by grace we are able to go beyond our own desire to do what is right. The law of Christ surpasses what is possible for us in what is only possible when we are empowered to love as Jesus does....sacrificially. However, it is possible to divide our own self-interest with that of others...

My new book is out! "The Sum of All Possibilities in Christ"

OK But the law helps us to divide the pieces of cake equally. It doesn't take a supernatural power from heaven to divide the pieces equally. It's simple geometry! :):D

Can we ever stop sinning or be perfect?

In Him is no sin... When we enter INTO Christ we put on His perfection. We walk as He walked. Of course, very few will do this. Jesus said that few would enter into the narrow way and walk the narrow path. Any unbeliever can claim to be in their own sinful strength. That's true. As long as we...

    Can you beat me?

OK I got it on 2....I always start with "grace" ...this one was "#####" I think it's always good to start with grace regardless! ;)

    Biblical insights please?

---Love others as I have loved you ---Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness ---bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. ---enter by the straight gate ---When you enter a room take the lowest place ---No one who looks back is worthy of Me. ---lose you life...

    President Kamala?

Politics is part of the entertainment industry. Every 4 years or so people cast their vote for the best performance. It just so happens that the modern political troupe is a comedy routine. o_O:rolleyes:

Reading oneself into the biblical text.

I would amend the definition of narcigesis to reading oneself in a favourable way into the biblical text, while ignoring the warnings.

Reading oneself into the biblical text.

Why does exegesis sound so much like "exit Jesus"! :rolleyes:o_O

Reading oneself into the biblical text.

I took this from another site... Narcigesis "Narcissistic Eisegesis (“Narcigesis”) = Forcing the Bible to mean something you already want it to mean by superimposing yourself into the meaning of the passage, rather than interpreting Scripture for what it means about God, and letting the...

    The Problem with Salvation

I think we have chosen to be the "saved of the world" rather being a "light to the world." Immature believers think of themselves first...selfish. What is unfortunate is that this very selfishness is encouraged by most Christian "leaders" because it makes people feel special. And this has...

How to be an honest Christian thinker.

We have gone from the prophetic to the scholarly: from experiential knowledge of God to the theoretical notions established by carnal men. There will never be a consensus by these types of people. They will avoid a proper balance by championing one extreme view or the other. Why? because an...

    Yahweh Sends Yahweh

The standard Jewish Bible is the MT...Masoretic text. The most complete being the Aleppo scroll. All Jewish Bibles have the same text. The only real differences come from the DSS (Dead Sea Scrolls) which indeed show some deviations. The standard is not a Christian one but a Jewish one. Also...
