    Darkness and light (poll)

Our bibles have a bias...a Christian bias (mostly correct), but also (King James version as an example) a reformation bias. Some verses are translated in a way that produces an undesirable result. A prime example of that bias comes with the translation of Is. 1:18 into English. "Come now, and...

What say you? Transformation or cover-up (reformation)?

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

It's amazing that words take on whatever meaning that supports a self-interest...as opposed to wanting to know the will of God. Where is the fear of the Lord? To impute means to attribute. if a baby is crying then the crying is imputed (attributed) to the child. The heresy is in...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Looking over the thread again...This is a real beauty ;) It does not say God recognized righteousness in Abraham It says because Abraham believed, God imputed to abraham his righteousness. Abrahams righteousness is as filthy rags.. all people. ot or nt. can not be saved unless they are...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

I'm open to discussing the subject of this thread as opposed to attacking the messenger! ;) Truth brings out the flesh...where it should bring out the desire to be pleasing to God. All who post from a continuing self-interest I will place on ignore.

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

That is indeed the cost of the oil...all we have and are in this world. But the easy thing is to impute to oneself all that is good, and to others all that is evil. What is your stand on imputation? Do you only impute good to yourself?

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Not hurt, but offended in the flesh. You defend the interests of ego...regardless of their position. That is your ultimate concern...because it reflects back on your ego. You believe that God saves the flesh along with the soul. And I have stated that the biblical position is to separate the...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

A misunderstanding of Paul doesn't (or shouldn't) negate the rest of the Bible. 2 Peter 3:16: As also in all his (Paul's) epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Away from self-interest? Does an ego driven personality realize they are walking in the power of the flesh?

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

The seat of all indoctrination is the ego. When an indoctrination is challenged, so is the ego. As such, it becomes impossible for the once-indoctrinated person to be set free...since the truth is seen as a threat. A personal threat. Those who have fooled modern believers are wise indeed...but...

What do you say of Phinehas and God's imputation on Him? (Check out the OP) Will you be honest? Or will you hide behind a faux offense caused by religious sensibilities encountering the inconvenient truth?

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

I have to show you humility so that you can prove you have been indoctrinated properly? The humility is that I even try to correspond to someone who displays such dishonesty. Unless you actually engage the thread at hand I will have to put you on ignore. I think honesty is what is required...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

All discussion is welcome. What is not welcome is robotically spewing an indoctrination that has no support in scripture whatsoever. Just imagine God recognizing people as having the same righteousness as Himself. As in God saying ..."I recognize that Abraham had the same righteousness as...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Amazing...You are doing exactly as you say. I have posted scriptures and shown how they relate to each other. Your understanding is based on religious conditioning...by adding to the word and taking away from it. So you will be unable to discuss anything I'm saying...instead resorting to the...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Growing INSIDE grace doesn't mean that grace is growing. We are to grow into the level of our calling. If you give a man some clothes that are too big for him as a teenager....as he becomes full grown man (full stature) he grows into the clothes. The same goes for grace as we put on the NEW MAN.

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

No one can make holiness more perfect. One has to understand what Paul is referring to. We perfect our own walk in holiness by making sure that we remain out of the way...that we give a firm foundation to the higher walk in Christ. The fear of the Lord keeps the outer man in check. It also...

More bot answers. Again, whoever you are...you are not responding to what I wrote...at all. I notice this among those who are also not able to read the bible for what it says. Instead many people have learned to be pew warmers and eat up whatever scheme makes more people sit in pews. But there...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

I didn't say that we are not responsible for our own behaviour. We will be judged by it. We will each be judged by our works. Don't confuse holiness with righteousness. We learn righteousness....we progress in righteousness....we leave room for (or be subject to) the righteousness of God...
