Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Thanks, @SERVANTedu ; I'm not familiar with the exact example you mentioned; but you can see how for so many Christian young men and women, when the age of 18 and beyond comes round, to become inked up adults with a witness-friendly tattoo - even a very small one - can seem very compelling. (At...

@Taken Yes; it's well established to do this. As Heart2Soul says in her posting:

    The Pre-Trib Rapture

@Taken It seems to me that the passages in Matthew 24 (and similarly Luke 21) about the wrath of of God on earth seem not to refer to the church, which by then will have been raptured. What the church does indeed face is the general principle of tribulation, as in: "In the world ye shall have...

    Can you help me ?

@Angelina Yes, it would make for a tattoo design that preaches well... Part of it would be of course that the wearer of the design would want to use it as a witness tool & talking point. (Which I reckon @L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d would indeed do...)

    BETHEL CHURCH

@Angelina Good for the person who wants to be baptized to have a proper knowledge beforehand from Scripture of what s/he is doing, and how the doctrine fits the profession of faith, right?

Have you ever been disappointed in what you read in the Bible?

@Mink57 Bible study reminds me of climbing a high mountain: it can take much effort and planning to go up it, painstakingly; but from the summit there is a glorious panorama, denied to those who stay at the bottom of the mountain. (Of course, the work of the Holy Spirit in granting light and...

    Can you help me ?

@Angelina Interesting symbolism, right? Reminds me of: 1 Peter 1.13: "...the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow..." 2 Timothy 2.12-13: "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot...

    Who knows this........?

@Lambano I wasn't referring to the Marcionites; I was referring simply to Sola Scriptura as a sound principle (which was asserted at the Reformation).

Spotting those who do not have Spiritual Discernment.

@shortangel A guide to this is seen indeed in John's First Epistle, where a key to those who have genuine faith and doctrine is seen in their walking in the light and their acknowledgment of the Deity of Christ.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Thanks for your comments. I take your point about the inadvisable placement of some tattoos. It's actually extremely widespread for healthcare workers to be tattooed. FYI: BluegrassRN said: allnurses dot com
