Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

Adam's first day of existence was one of rest and fellowship with his Creator. The injunction in the Law is to remember the Sabbath day. One does not remember that was not there to remember. As to your comment of no evidence of the Sabbath being kept I would say that the Hebrews were instructed...

    Sinless perfection is easy

Sinless perfection is easy It is impossible! Adam only ate once of the forbidden fruit and death was inevitable....as was promised. We, who have inherited millennia of self interest and dysfunction have in our flesh the 'gene' of rebellion. Perfection requires flawlessness from the moment of...

Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone?

Does the inclusion of the Sabbath prove that the Ten Commandments were for Israel alone? Is Marriage only intended for Israel alone? The Sabbath was given in Eden ....as was Marriage. Both these institutions came into existence well before Sinai.

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

Oh dear AJ....and I say this kindly, I have asked you to tell me of Jehovah but what you have done is tell me of yourself. We talk about the things that capture our imagination....and self rules for both the religious and the non religious. I have asked this same question to several JW's, not...

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

I'm assuming your view of your understanding is that you know Jehovah. Perhaps you could tell us of him?

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

hmmmm, you make a lot of words and texts here yet why am I not finding them persuasive? ...because the intent of various texts have been cobbled poorly.

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

It is God's prerogative when to resurrect the dead or translate the living. They are resurrected because they are dead; they are translated because God chooses that they don't see the death (sleep) which is endemic to humanity. Moses was resurrected even though it doesn't specifically say so...

Why do you avoid doctrinal discussion?

Doctrines without Jesus at their core (the primary determiner) is an exercise in egotism ie, self aggrandisement. The alarming thing is that many have no idea what is meant by having Jesus at the core.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

We just don't seem to learn the lesson that violence begets violence. This is not the method of the Kingdom of God. He woos us with unprecedented kindness and it misinterpreted as either weakness or threat by most. Jesus was murdered because God's methods didn't suit men. Men insist on force...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

I don't think so. Revelation 6:15-17 reveals that it is those who don't want to know Jesus and the assumed wrath that he has, who desire a violent end to their lives. Death is the preferred choice of living with shame and guilt for those who refuse the gift of forgiveness. They recognise The...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Resorting to violence to 'solve' a problem....irrespective of how it's packaged, is the expression of the unvarnished carnal nature.

I can see you believe Solomon had it right. Can you see Jesus implementing this strategy?
