It's interesting that John's First Epistle speaks of 'many antichrists' being already in the world. The emphasis is on their spiritual and moral character rather than on their geographical origins.

I do find it troubling that ppl can seemingly advocate as supposedly Scriptural the idea of "faith in the finished work of Christ PLUS something else" as supposedly essential for salvation.

50 years ago or more there was a song, 'There is a season, turn, turn, turn, there is a reason, turn, turn turn...' Kind of in part the idea of repentance.

@marks I indeed understand that the Lord Jesus is sinless; which is totally Scriptural and He is the Word Who became flesh (John 1.14). But I don't understand all the seeming premises of the OP.
