It wasn’t just to the deciples they would see things in their life time but the warning was for a church living in Jerusalem

They didn’t God did and to prove that Jesus was God because He gave a prophecy with a date attached to it. Fact is fact it happened when Jesus said it would happen.

Because Jesus was talking directly to the deciples telling them what they would see that’s why He repeatedly used the term “you” in the Olivit discourse and history and the book of Acts confirms what actually happened.

These warnings were fulfilled in the first century leading up to the fall of Jerusalem

The symbolism of the birds eating humans flesh is to be considered cursed. Animal flesh was made food for humans but when humans are eaten by animals they are considered cursed. Biblical times people would of understood this.
