TODAY you will be with me in paradise

Sorry, but that's nonsense. So called conventional Christianity cannot validate itself... It is validated by scripture and the fruit of the Spirit. Nothing more, nothing less. In the last days, just before the second coming, there are only 2 overt groups. 1. Babylon the Great and her harlot...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

Technically correct. They are asleep, waiting the resurrection.

    The True Cost Of Discipleship

The cost of Discipleship is absolute. Jesus did not say that we can sort of follow Him. He did not say that we can retain those things we want, but give up those things we don't want. Jesus did not say that if we keep some habits, God would understand and let them go. No. The costs of following...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

I didn't say Jesus couldn't communicate with people in dreams and visions. Islamic people are being converted every day as a result of encountering Jesus... Whether it is an NDE or otherwise, doesn't matter. But what I said is true in my post. The dead cannot communicate with the living. Demons...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

NDEs may be evidence of the supernatural, certainly, but nothing more. Demons can and do imitate dead relatives, speak truths regarding their lives, revealing even "secrets" unknown to anyone else except the participants. But all that is is a deception to take them mind away from Christ. You...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

There is a very good satisfactory answer to that question. The study of why does God permit evil, or why do good people suffer and bad people prosper, is called theodicy. It's actually a very interesting study... But there are some screwy theories connected with it that distort the entire thing...

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

I think if you ask an atheist or agnostic to describe the God they don't believe in, most would describe and repeat what they have heard from Christians. I've been around the traps now for over 45 years, and the God I have heard described by most Christians, I don't believe in either.

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

Why be frightened of a God who died in your place and thought heaven not worth holding on to without you in it?

My agnostic friend says: "I don't need it." - How would you respond?

A crutch is totally insufficient to supply relief for the ailments He suffers from. He needs a heart transplant.

TODAY you will be with me in paradise

Allow me to address this. KJV 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 Paul tells us of 2 houses, 2 states. Earthly, and heavenly. 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. We all desire the heavenly...

TODAY you will be with me in paradise

The spirit is indeed an animating force... It is the breath that gives life to the body. Pneuma, from which we get the word pneumatic tyres, drills, press, etc. Spirit and soul are 2 distinct things. Note how the spirit of God inspired Moses to describe the creation of man... KJV Genesis 2:7 7...

TODAY you will be with me in paradise

KJV John 20:17 17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

TODAY you will be with me in paradise

Can you write any scripture that teaches that the spirit of man is an independent thinking self conscious entity apart from the body? That idea is Platonic, but where is it in the Bible? What did the Spirit look like? Where was it before the body was formed? Was it a living conscious entity...

TODAY you will be with me in paradise

Except Jesus wasn't in heaven that day. He was still dead. He didn't go to the Father until after the resurrection. The comma placed before the word 'today' was not inspired. It was placed in there by some translator in the middle ages whose mind was already informed by the popular concept of...

    What is love?

That's a subject of debate. Could Christ have sinned? Speaking personally, I disagree with the above reasoning. I do not believe it was a question of divine power but a question of Christ’s personal choice. Adam and Eve were created perfect. In them was no propensity to sin. They did though have...

I'm Hungry Right Now, What are you munching On?

Is this what Eve picked in the garden? A red dragon fruit????

I'm Hungry Right Now, What are you munching On?

Below is one component of a fruit salad we had last night. Isn't that colour just so gorgeous? The other ingredients were peaches, watermelon, and banana.

What was wrong with Adam and Eve knowing good and evil?

I think we need to be careful with this, not that I'm saying you aren't being careful. When we speak about what Catholics call original sin, I don't think it is correct to suggest we inherit or own or are responsible for in any way, Adams transgression. The children, that is us, are not held...
